This kid needs to be euthanized, for his (and society's) good. The parents are just treating him like a doll, dressing him and coddling him. I feel sorry for him, but he is a strain on his parents and society, with the medicines and futile treatments. He will not be able to ever contribute to society, and his parents need to realize this and let him go. It's for everyone's good.
@PCFollower Actually, the child was under palliative care, because the parents new they were letting him go. There is no law to euthanize humans, so they had to go the route you see, here. Also, keep in mind that the parent was told that the child didn't have a brain until it was carried to full term, because many ancencephalic infants survive until adulthood with a functioning brain. As an aside, the medical bills must have been astronomical.

I got a response that agreed to the logic that this baby is brain dead followed by, he still has a heart. The logical fallacy is confusing a beating heart with considering a consciousness. When someone states in their will and testament to unplug a machine keeping them alive when they are brain dead, is the argument that this brain dead adult still has a beating heart, must incur more medical bills? Which is what all of the medications were for. To keep it from convulsing from the constant seizures to make their time with the infant easier on them. But, like the last commenter I was responding to, I wouldn't have given a morbid response, "He has lovely eyes" - When his fluttering eyes meant he's constantly seizing.

Her skull is deformed but, she took karate, went to school, and spoke perfectly. She defied all medical predictions. That she would never walk or walk or be mentally impaired, etc. Neurologists were puzzled by her brain activity in such a small space. I love stories like that!

Her skull is deformed but, she took karate, went to school, and spoke perfectly. She defied all medical predictions. That she would never walk or walk or be mentally impaired, etc. Neurologists were puzzled by her brain activity in such a small space. I love stories like that!

The baby can't see or hear and with out a brain the baby can't talk, move properly or process information. Even if he were to grow into an adult- (which wouldn't happen) He would be a blind, deaf, vegetable. In the old days a person that was that badly mutated would be put down by the mother to relieve suffering.The only reason why he's still around is to be his parent's little living play toy even though the child has no personality or functionality other than eat and breath.
