There's a problem with harmony in second part Theme A. The bass is either too faint or is not there so the chord is wrong or poor. But I do like this instruments. Mitsuda is influenced by progressive rock.
@OoUISAoO Wrong. Kuja's Theme = Tyranno Lair. Chrono Trigger came out in 1993 for the Super Nintendo. Final Fantasy 9 came out in 2000 for the Playstation. However, at the time, FF9 was released by Squaresoft (Now known as Square Enix) who were the same people who did Chrono Trigger. Therefore, it's likely they re-used elements/had the same composer for both games. It's not merely coincidence but Chrono Trigger DID come first, so ha! Tyranno Lair FTW!
@Tukimoshi Both were composed by Uematsu and due to the large amount of references to past RPGs in FF9, Kuja's theme was almost definitely a reference
Some years ago I was living in a sad world where there was no good metal remixes of Tyrano Lair on youtube. Then Phoenix Project saved me.
Thanks Phoenix Project.

Am I the only one that thought that Azala was male when I was younger?
Now that I have replayed the game in recent years I found that out.

is there an official site for this project somewhere on the web?

This is fucking amazing although would have been so much sweeter to have kept @1:50 as a bass guitar.

What a vicious cover. This is easily the best version I've heard of Tyrano Lair, compared to the despicable version I heard in the xbox gh video.
