  • great video! Very enjoyable, must have taken ages to edit and upload

  • I Went Here Over Christmas, I Walked Into Cell 5 And The Lights Came On By Themselves, I Got A Fright So I Ran Upstairs, And When Was Up There My Camera Went Off And Back On About 5 Times

  • Wow! Thank you so much for posting the video. I'm going to visit the Gaol on the Paranormal tour this year, I must say, after watching this you have certainly put my mind at ease that not all the poor souls who walk the corridors are evil spirits. Keep up the good work, all the best! :)

  • Whohoow up the garden county :D

  • @17:36 - just before Chris sighs and says "so sad" there appears to be an orb or dust float across in front of his elbows.

  • @Preview43 I did see this too

  • I had an experience here, when i was sitting in the cafe area a stone was throw at the window beside me, when i looked out there was nobody there, and not only that it was looking into the courtyard at the side which is in front of a high wall. Very strange.

  • Very enjoyable to watch....also very sad,I came here as my cousin lives in Wicklow, and told me to come to you tube and see what they saw...thank you for the oppertunity to do so ;-)

  • @Maladay I`m pleased you enjoyed it.:)

  • That must have been just terrible.

    Thanks Chris.

  • @namestephen1 Thankyou:)

  • That young girl guiding you, I want to pinch her chubby little cheeks!

    As always, great job, Chris!

And you´re getting better for every vid.

  • @bubbafetsqwerty11 Thankyou my friend:) I am always striving to improve my work, so it`s great to get positive feedback.

  • Chris, thanks for another fantastic production. Very impressive! What was that bright orb-like appearance beginning at about 24:00 and carrying on to about 24:24? It is in the lower right, near your leg.

  • @ApsinthionMoon Thankyou for commenting - and very glad you enjoyed:) The light anomaly was a lense reflection of light from the cell window behind the camcorder. It does look spooky!

  • I like this video a lot. Even if you don't believe in ghosts and spirits it's really informative. Great Job.

  • @skitmonkey Thankyou:) I appreciate your comment.

  • We are now forced to view commercials...Geez...Guess I am done with you tube...phooey.

  • @jjbinderr It could be worse.

  • @Greyfort7 It has been my pleasure. These places are quite unique now, so being able to share this prison with a wider audience across the world allows many others to know that these hell-holes existed.Appreciate your comments:)

  • Again, 1st class production Chris & Sean, it was a very interesting but incredibly sad, the history of how these people suffered & how some of them survived is just amazing BUT the feeling of being there would be ten-fold; hope you recovered ok?

Sometimes the sentence etc was worse then the crime! Just bought a DVD called "Devils Island" (Papillon), now that really was a hell-hole, imagine the EVP's there??!!!

    Fair weather & a safe journey....& good haunting ;-)

  • @anzac2404 Thanks Wayne - A sad tragedy it was indeed, and to think that this attitude towards the poor was endemic across Great Britain for nigh on 200 years. Ironic that these `criminals` ended up being the backbone of the early populations of Australia and the USA. I just hope and pray that these days are now long gone, but with the way society here is crumbling, one dreads to think of the future. You are right with Devil`s Island - just think of the activity there that would be there!:)

  • @Constantine99999: OH GOD.......more boat people coming here (society crumbling)...NO, NO, BUGGER OFF LOL.

Yes I've been told what London is like, & by the sounds of it, it seems to have become more violent than what it was 200yrs ago; its just a case of some people are just self-centered & greedy......politics will do that to you ;-) LOL. Cheers.

  • @anzac2404 In some ways I can see a steady descent into the past Wayne, and as much as I love the past, I certainly would not want to see it return:) But you are right my friend, greed before country, the hallmark of most politicians. Thanks for commenting mate.

  • Chris - I just have to say how remarkable this particular video is! (Is it both sad and depressing to watch - but such a stark reminder of how cruel the we, as humans, can be so cruel to our own kind! Let us not forget the lessons of the past - for when we forget the past and its lessons, we make the same mistakes that were already made before!)

Keep up the fabulous work - I really appreciate and enjoy all you do! (You work hard & it really does show in the end - do you know that?)....

  • You're a genuine guy - and both the living (and those who have "crossed over") can sense and see this! (Don't loose this attribute - it is a precious and rare gift, especially in today's world!)

And to the idiot who keeps "disliking" Chris's video for no good reason other than the fact that you are jealous, immature, and ignorant - knock it the f*ck off already! (And grow up while you're at it!) Grow some b*lls & state why you "dislike" it! (Or just don't waste your time like this!) :-P

  • @GhostGal5: Chris 'should" block him but he's too nice LOL; I think its just a case of he/she is just a sad bitch with nothing better to but bring others down, sad-sack needs a hobby!

I agree with what you said as well, top job as always with Chris & team, cheers.

  • @anzac2404 - Totally and completely agreed with you anzac! ;-D

  • @anzac2404 It`s sad to say, but in my experiences here on Youtube my worst haters have often been female!

I`m not saying that as a form of `sexist` comment, but from actual encounters with these sad people.

Of course there are many male haters too, and they are just as twisted.

The internet gives many pathetic and inadequate people a sense of power and control that is so obviously lacking in their miserable lives. Why can`t they have their internet accounts taken away for persistent offenders?

  • @GhostGal5 Lol! What can I add to that!:)

  • @GhostGal5 Thanks Georgia:) They say that the lessons learnt from the past are there to guide us in the future, but we human`s never seem to learn from them:)

Very glad you appreciate the long hours I put into my work both in terms of going out there to film these locations and the even longer hours in editing them!:)

  • What a horrible existence it must have been, particularly for a child who was likely only trying to feed himself due to being orphaned by disease, or something external. So many were packed off to Australia and forgotten. If any place is haunted I imagine it would be this place.

  • @Dr1Canuckchuck: But in the end it worked out rather well...the English sent us to a great place...CHEERING :-)

  • @Dr1Canuckchuck You are right on there.

  • That was a really interesting video. Prisons are terrible places. I've been toying with the idea to go visit Alcatraz, but it is such a depressing place of misery....

It must have been really cold there? In one room you can see your breath! It was in the room where you mentioned a evil person about 18 minutes into the video.

Anyway, another great video from you! Thanks,

    Vicky

  • @12345vjd It was quite cold in there Vicky. The walls are made of stone and in the Irish winter climate they tend to retain that coldness. I think being able to see how cold it is allows viewers to see just how harsh conditions were for the poor who were often unable to wrap up well against the cold. Thanks for commenting:)

  • Atlast! A new vid. Awsome intro.

  • @saltfan2 And another video from a haunted castle is coming quite soon:)

  • @Constantine99999 That is good.

  • @saltfan2 Thankyou:)

  • Fascinating Chris, great work :)

  • @Nigelcf Thanks Nigel!:)

  • Thank you so much Chris for sharing this. I am from the U.S. and do not foresee returning to Ireland, so I really appreciate what you have done. This was the next best thing to being there. The stories are extremely sad but like you said, they need to be kept alive so we can witness the inhumanity done to humans. Thanks again.

  • @drahgier Thankyou:) I`m pleased that this video has allowed you another taste of Ireland. Very soon there will be another Irish filmed video available to view of an investigation at Carbury Castle. Hope you can see that too!:)

    Thanks for commenting.

  • As always Mr. Halton, you do excellent work. Thank you.

  • @Darkwolf3v1 Thankyou!:) Very much appreciated.

  • Chris, what a great piece of work this investigation was! I knew it was going to be great even from the still pictures that you posted on facebook. Excellent! I couldn't wait to get home from work to watch it!...Ra

  • @TheRa316 Thanks Ra:) Glad you appreciated the pictures and the video!

  • Interesting investigation. Top job!

  • @IreallyDunno004 Thanks for commenting:) I hate the word `medium` so a psychic empath would describe me best. I feel very strongly emotions and feelings.

  • Great video ! Great info but the history is sooo... Sad !

  • @debrambreece Thanks Debs:) It is a very sad story. Appreciate you commenting.

  • @nagazout Thankyou!:)

  • Another great one Chris. Very very interesting! It looks well done and not in a "tourist trap" way. Take Care.

  • @CatpurrRobertaBobbi Thankyou my friend:)

  • Hi guys:) Thanks for the comments and support:)

If you haven`t yet done, please rate if you enjoyed as it helps to keep me afloat against commercial sites who receive greater exposure over us independents.

  • up the ozzies lol nice vidio chris thanks 4 that mate cheers and up the irish .

  • @ozbillybong Thanks Oz - glad you enjoyed:)

  • Well I think not that the prison was supposed to be a holiday resort.

People were there to grief for their crimes.

It might be unfair because it also happened that people where wrongly accused for crimes.

Then again the people back then averagely behaved better than today?

I mean when I think of underage children getting babies or other kids who would beat up men to death.

Human just seem to strife to hurt each other whenever they can. Not talking about individuals.

  • @sionatube These prisons obviously contained hardened criminals who deserved to suffer for their crimes.

But many people, women, children and the elderly were sentenced for stealing food to feed their families.

Remember there was no state benefits or social housing, and also remember the Irish potato famine which caused many to flee to the country as their British and Irish landlords let them starve to death, or removed them from their homes as they were unable to pay the rent. Terrible times.

  • Brilliant video as usual, your videos are always well made. 36 minutes long..great job chris :)

  • @TDPUK Glad you enjoyed. Thankyou:)

  • Lol the girl at the beginning... "EMMM" cute though! Great vid as always.

  • @drewbocop I thought she did an excellent job, bless her:)

  • that was an excellent episode, but would have liked to have seen more of the ship, will you return? is there going to be a part two?

  • @cooking23 I had more footage of the ship, but time constraints had a big part to play here.

I could easily have stretched it to an hour, but there will be a future re-visit (subject to the recession and outrageous fuel prices :) Very pleased you enjoyed, thankyou:)

  • Loved every minute of this very well put together video. Although very sad, it was very interesting and informative. Love learning all the history.

  • @SnowPrincess67 Thankyou:) Very pleased you enjoyed.

  • Loved it Chris! Great vid!!

  • @dutchmaggie1 Thanks Lydia:) Glad you enjoyed this too:)
