I'm not specifically an Obama supporter right now but I want to say that being a typical politician doesn't mean you're only out for yourself.

Politics is a dirty game and Obama is certainly playing that game more than he claims he is in his speeches. But good things have and will still get done because of these politicians.

Serving others is a very rewarding experience. I have volunteered multiple times with Feed My Starving Children multiple times. Those were some of the most rewarding experiences i've had in my short life. it was so rewarding because i really felt like i was doing something. A single person can help many. i think that people sometimes forget just how much of a positive impact they can have on the lives of other people. If we all help out this country and this world will be a better for all.

While the military is important to have obviously, its strange to see it equated to civil service the same as things like feeding the poor.

The military also does humanitarian work like assisting during natural disasters. Some of the poor are members of our armed forces are they worth feeding?
