  • LOL! watch at around 42:42 all the cows stop what there doing and start staring at the heli..No matter what species you are, you gotta love it.. Great vid!!!

  • this will help loads on my HK450! thanks!

  • @MrGixxerUK You are exactly correct. The only difference is where the servos mount. On the Razor, the elevator is in front, and on yours, it will be in the back of the swash. Also, I do have a full setup guide that was done on the HK450GT. Check it out. If you have any questions, post them up on our forum. We are glad to help out. Rc-Help.com

  • Excellent video..thanks for your time to do this..helped me to understand setup with my dc6i and my blade 400..

  • @luverne1000 A blade 400? really? I'm glad to see it will work on other products than just the clones. I would really like to see a writeup on how you did everything with the blade 400 if you can post it on the forum. Hope to see you there soon my friend. Rc-Help.com

  • great video i must say for a new heli setup i will try this on my clone are you happy with the orange rx again great video nice work

  • @macdaddy1600 Thank you. As for the orange Rx, for them not being a full range Rx, they work great for park flying. Just don't go over about 500-700 feet away from you. I have stayed under 500' and never had a brown-out. Hope this helps.

  • I am so sorry Tony for calling Jim. Thanks a bunch for the reply. How do I reverse my gyro? I will come join your forum tonight. Any suggestion on what time frame is good to join in? I'm in South Jersey close to Philadelphia. Thanks again Tony.

  • @maskog No worries on the name lol. If you are running the stock GY192, then you will have to physically reverse it. If it's up side down, then make it right side up and vice versa. As for joining the forum, anytime is good. I will be on there on and off throughout the day, and at night my mod (Lee) is on there and lives in Spain. So there is almost always someone on there. Come on over, We welcome you with open "digital" arms :-)

  • Hello Jim, my name is Mike. I have this same E-Razor 450 and I followed your video as closely as possible to set it up with my DX6i but the heli just spins around counter clockwise violently as soon as it start to left off the ground. Any suggestion? Thanks for this video.

  • @maskog My name is Tony, not Jim. And it sounds like your gyro is reversed. Try reversing your gyro and give it a try. If you have more questions, come on over to the forum and let us know. Rc-Help.com

  • Would I dx8 with ar8000 receiver be suitable for a nitro trex 600

  • @chubbychicken1234567 I don't see any reason why not. Just be sure to isolate the Rx from the vibrations of the motor with some foam tape or something.

  • Thanks for replying where u located at? I'm thinking of dx6i and dx8 cuz I have the 450 align my other remote the trainer switch broke off. And I can't fix it and could u install the back light for me I can't do that

  • @Low4show09 Like I said in the other video reply, you can go to my website and I have the backlight kit, and the install on there. The current kit is $35, and the install is $35. And I'm in Oklahoma.

  • Brilliant all I needed to know but that the shops were slow to understand and explain. I can now go ahead with cofidence fitting my AR 6210 to my razor 400 (no rx fitted) and fly with my Dx6i. GJ.

  • @JonesGraham Thanks Jones, this is the whole reason I did this video. The stock Tx, be it the Fm or 2.4, is just crap IMO. Good if you don't have anything else, but just crap lol. I would love to see your bird, post it up on the forum.

  • Honestly my birds are nothing special. I'm learning on a MPC X and loving it. My 450 are boring clones and i think I probably should have spent better money on an orignal Align. But hey this hobby has me hooked and people like you make it easy for people like me to understand. I crash a 450 because i didn't know much...man I wish i watch this first. This is a very hard hobby to get you head around and I will sign up on your blobg...thank you SIR!

  • @justinrasta Its clones like these that got me into this hobby. I as well have the mcpx and love it. I will look forward to seeing you on the forum after I install this security patch. We can then all learn together.

  • Thank you, thank you!! this is the info I needed and in simple terms. I just set up 2 450 with these receivers and all is perfect thanks to you my friend. Bloody legend.

I am a total beginner and this is tremendously helpful!!!

Please keep up the good work!!

    justo

  • @justinrasta Thanks for the kind words justo. I'm glad that this has helped you set up your helicopters. You should sign up on our forum and post up some pics of your birds. I know that I would love to see them.

  • this is a very understandable explaination....10pts...ive been searching every vids on youtube. bt not as clear & well detailed like this. tnx mate...keep it up...thumbs up!

  • @100randydmaster Thanks for the kind words. If there is anything that I can make better, just let me know.

  • i just bought a dx6i and my radio is not backlit like your radio is :( awesome video man its going to help me out big time setting up my 450!

  • @pilots05 The DX6i doesn't come with a backlight. I had to install my own kit. And if you need any help, please sign up on our forum. There is a lot of helpful people there to help you out.

  • Just to say thanks for that video. I will be useing it as a reference point for many adjustments if need be. Well explained, well rounded. Thanks :-)

  • @MFizzle777 Thanks for the comment. Glad I could help out!

  • Very nice explaination how to setup the whole system! I've learned so much ;) Thanks for that Video!

  • @Khashraan Anytime, and thanks for watching.

  • I have a 35A align esc for my 450 se v2 and a 18A exceed esc for my exi 250 build.Thanks alot man!

  • @skoolboy44 Because I do not have an Align ESC, and it's quite hard to explain without showing you, Here is a link to a page on HeliFreak. You will have to make an account to watch the video, but that is free, and only takes a few seconds. I will try to get a video of your Exceed ESC tomorrow. I have been meaning to make one for a while. Remove the spaces so the link will work.

    ht tp :// video.helifreak.co m/?subpath=finless/trex450&filename=esc_setup.wmv

  • Awesome video !!! Not complaining but could you make a quick video on esc setup thanks much!!!!

  • @skoolboy44 You bet I can make a setup video for an ESC. I only have a few around here, what brand is yours?

  • Great setup Video Tony, and just goes t show also when you havent flown for a while you can get a little rusty, although you did well with the Windy conditions.

I have that problem here in my driveway, where I get sometimes a swirling wind effect coming of the house and fenced areas

  • @JollySwagman2006 Thanks Jolly. The video was actually made quite a while ago, I just had to reupload it after editing content. And I know exactly what you are talking about with the "swirling effect", I get the same thing off my house when the wind is out of the south.

  • Im surprized you trust a orange RX with a heli. Nice video too!

  • @DistructiveRC I never said I trusted it hahaha. I just used it. I have not done any testing on the OrangeRx, so I'm not sure how well the range is on it. I know it's a lot less than the spektrum Rx's though.

  • i watched this even tho i dont have any helis to setup -.- lol ohh and do you think the erazor is a good heli or does it fall apart eventually??cuz im looking at getting one as a step up from a blade cp

  • @orandaboy The E-Razor is an "okay" helicopter. The problem with it is you can only get parts through hobbypartz, or straight from dynam. I would suggest building an EXI, HK450GT, something like that. I have the HK450GT, and it's a great helicopter. And, you can order it from the USA warehouse if it's in stock, and shipping is cheap. If you spend $100 at the USA warehouse, shipping is a penny I think. Atleast it was when I ordered my 500 and 600 at the same time lol. I"m sure they regret that.
