  • I'm so sad that most of the media in japan don't broadcast these kind of things so often

  • TIME can go fuck itself. I hope every person working for that rag sheet are dead within a year.

  • Lionel messi was # 2!

  • Well I would agree 100% except that votes were for the person of the year not certain group of people of the year. I'm actually surprised that group of 50 made into a lists of person and number at that.

  • Excellent work Tony. TIME magazine used to have many insightful articles regarding politics and history. Their Cold War era coverage was unmatched. Its a shame what happened to this prestigious magazine. However you want a similar magazine I would recommend the German magazine Der Spiegel. They have an English version aswell.

  • Well said.

  • hey prop what do you think of the reelect obama ad that pops up on your vid??

  • @rayzortek - That is capitalism and I love capitalism.

  • "Their encampments have seen public urination, defecation of a police vehicle, rapes, gun shots, murders, child molestations, and other assorted anti-social behavior. Basically the human debris of a given culture. Self-absorb and selfish."

Ahahaha you literally fell for the mainstream media's smear campaign against OWS. Shaking my head.

  • Anonymous is a group spun off from the website 4chan, which is where the name is derived since the 4chan message boards allows anonymous posting. At this point Anonymous is decentralized and any group can come in and claim to be part of Anonymous.

They are certainly not exclusively OWS aligned.

  • The OWS crowd and the Tea Party crowd have similar goals, why do conservatives hate OWS so much?

  • @Joe402 Because conservatives watch Fox News.

  • FDR was put on the cover as "man of the year" 3 times. theres no liberal bias at time magazine--Luce was not a liberal right? /snicker!/

  • Actually, The occupy movement can be traced back to the Adbusters Media Foundation, not Anonymous. Occupy Toronto also officially stated that Anonymous did not represent them when Anonymous threatened to kill that city's internet.

I, for one, have read the official Occupy Wall Street statement, which included 23 distinct statements. I fully agree on 22 on those statements, with reservations in regards to the "nonhuman animal" statement (which has yet to be confirmed as being systemic).

  • Tony, the story of Fukushima 50 may have been over-dramatized by western media. Some workers did voluntary remain to save the plant but that was not some thing like what we see in Hollywood movies like Armageddon.

  • Anonymous is not another name for occupy wallstreet. Anonymous is something else entirely. Do a bit of research Tony, and hope you don't draw their attention.

  • @h4xx0rrx too late.

  • In Japan it is Surely said, when be expressed Society-Quality of Japan can be defined, for example on Military-System, Holding the Best = Strongest "Unit at the front = The Front", but it is Controled by the Worst Headquarters.

Level of Most of Japanese People is Very High, However Level of 95+% Politicians (of course PMs of "Every Year" too) and Many Public Servants are The Worst.

Level of Hanshin Tigers Players (Baseball) is Very High, Level of its Leaders (Managers) were ?:))

  • God bless the men, women and their families who have sacrificed so much in Japan. Sadly it is rare that large groups or even individuals get such recognition as their stories normally do not make front page news night after night.

  • Thank u for the video. Sadly it is much worse. Radiation all over the place, at least in the northern areas. And many hundred workers died already, covered up by TEPCO. Japanese government is playing everything down and feed Japanese contaminated food. I love Japan and measure radiation.Trying to help to make it more transparent so that we can be safe! I hope people realize that there is noting like a safety limit for food and hot particles are dangerous in Tokyo! Feel free to ask me anytime.

  • Fukushima 50 FTW!!

  • You are wrong about anonymous. They do support OWS, which you can respectfully disagree with their intentions. But anonymous also hacked the San Francisco Dart train after they jammed cell phone signals illegally. DDOS'd credit card companies for not allowing them to donate to Wikileaks, but that still allow you to donate to the KKK. DDOSing and hacking the arab governments for killing their own citizens after they protest. Their big operation at the moment is hacking the Mexican government, to

  • @And181377 reveal government officials coordinating with the drug cartels. They help identify sex offenders on the internet, not bad people. They fight for free speech over all else, keeping government out of the internet because nobody in Washington understands it.

  • Tony you've got your facts wrong with Annon. They have been inciting the occupy movement but they're an existing cyber activist group. Before Occupy they were doing such alturistic things as "Ion Cannoning" popular websites, publishing sex offenders registers, stealing credit card details, trolling scientology (okay the last one was alturistic.) You could have made a better argument with this knowledge.

  • That's so awesome. :)

  • hey tony, have you heard the great news? there has been a grind in my homevillage. we got 190 whales in one grind. score! there hasnt been a grind here in funningsfjørdur in 19 years! if you want to you should do a video of it :)

  • Thank you, Tony !!

  • I have one word for the Fukushima 50...altruism.

  • In addition, "Person of the Year" is not necessarily meant as an accolade. It generally means, most notable person, or person who has had the most impact, be it positive or negative. This explains the inclusion of dictators and despots like Hitler and Stalin. Once again, lazy Tony gets it wrong, so wrong.

  • As usual, lazy Tony can't be bothered to do ANY research before making his biased trashy videos. Before 1999, when the title was changed to "Person of the Year", it was adapted to "Woman of the Year" four times, for female winners. The change had nothing to do with PC or feminism, just an easier way to express the intention of the award. The vote is open to ANYONE, so it's nice to know that Tony also criticizes democracy in action because he personally doesn't like the results.

  • @endrightwinglunacy the last time "man of the year" was used was 1998. but most of the winners have been men. so why not change it to man or women ("machine") as needed? totally a marketing ploy or going-with-the-flow.

  • @yurianne07 I don't think so. "Woman of the Year" sounds like there is almost definitely a separate category for men and vice versa, when there is only one poll for both sexes. Nothing to with PC or feminism. Absolutely no evidence for that, but it makes a good, typically unsupported talking point for Tony to bash liberalism for the hell of it.

  • thank you soo much for listening tony, im glad you made the video!

  • Should be the arab youth protestors, or anonymous. Yes the support ows.But they also worked to bring internet when it was censored in Arab spring. Hacked syria, egypt, libya.

  • why the hell is Casey Anthony on the list?

  • Remember the men that died trying to prevent chernobyl from going to a meltdown to an nuclear explotion that would have irradiated most of eastern europe? no because people today doint care about the real heroes that save lives by destroying their own.

  • It is such a shame that the 99% are even brought up for this issue. I'm not with either group.
