Oh wow, I'm slightly claustrophobic and I don't think I could handle that! I mean it's a nice idea and all but to me it sorta resembles a large coffin with a TV =P (not hating on it though! each to their own).
dude u never been to a american hotel? its the same as far as amenities. I'd glady sleep in a bed in a spacious room rather than a salt bath whatever the fuck that is..THanks for sharing though..U get soap and towels at even the shittiest of hotels here.
use google calculator(or similar) to currency unit exchange.
capsule hotel : around 3700yen. but u can just SLEEP. ONLY SLEEP.
cheapest hotel : over 5000yen. A bath, a toilet, a refrigerator(to stock your meal for the next morning), one or two 100V AC outlet(to charge your phone and camera and mobilePC), a RJ-45 LAN connector(or wi-fi) , and a bed(in ordinarily form)...are in the room.
@Mattis10000 Thank a lot...I check online for the price of hotel I see a lot of hotel that run really cheap. I don't know if that is a capsule or a regular hotel...I wanted to go to kobe hopefully next year
@Mattis10000 hi mattis ive plan to vist japan for 14 days i was wondering what hotel did you went? so i could get information also how much is it per night? and did you say free hot bath awesome:) im sure
the food and beer is dum chep:) dude im sooooo happy you went i wanna go so bad when ever you have time send me a feed back happy holidays peace:) think you
@MrTRONSTAR Hi there, glad you liked the video! I don't remember exactly how much it was a night but I believe it was around $45 or so U.S. dollars. It is probably different now though. Yes, in this particular capsule hotel the hot bath was included :) Have fun in Japan, I loved the place!
Few more question matis, Are their any places that you know of I should avoid? Did you travel alone? Just trying to get an understanding for the negative things iv'e heard like: Brazilians are hated there because their beauty takes job's from others. Blacks are the lowest on the list of race.(yea. they got race lists) I'm Nega-Brasileira (black brazilian) this is bad for me.Japanese can refuse service to anyone for being American citizen ect. Also I hear of The U.S. warning traveler of Roppongi
I don't know of any places off the top of my head you should aviod, but ever city has bad areas that you should stay away from so that is something you'll have to look into if you go to Japan. Overall though, Japan is one of the safest countries in the world.
I haven't heard anything about Brazilians or blacks being hated on while I was in Japan and never saw any discrimiation firsthand.
Also, I also never saw anyone refused service. As long as you are respectful I highly doubt that would happen since refusing someone service over there would cause the person to "lose face" which isn't a good thing in their culture.
Roppongi was fine for me, just like any other big party area. Don't get too drunk and do something stupid.
They didn't act racist or weird at all. The only "weird" thing was how polite and friendly they were to me, especially because I was a foreigner. Communicating was an issue with a lot of people, but that's traveling for you.
dude ive always wanted to go to a japanese capsul hotel non the less "japan". and these things looks so awsome and comfy. to bad u cant smoke in the capsul that would be just chill. and kinda sucks u cant get american tv, japanese tvs to wild for me.
Where's the bathroom??? :o

hey Mattis I just wanna know how much do you usually spend on food daily? I try to figure out how much I have to spend when I goes to Japan.
thank you
Nobodyknow 2 years ago
I'd usually eat a pretty light breakfast for about $5 and a cheap lunch or dinner would run you around $8 - $10 a meal.

Heya, nice video.
I stayed at a Capsule Hotel in Tokyo in 2008 and I really got a kick out of it.
Did you also get a bunch of people staring at you? I sure did.
Anyway, I'll be hitting Kobe in September and I was planning on staying here.
Thanks for the video, as I was trying to find better pictures than their site had to offer. :)
