It's worth noting that Chapman Ducote was in the Lola car at the time. He was consistantly at least 4 seconds slower than any other LMP driver.

That was why it was so slow.

Inconsiderate of both of them, the Lola should have let the GT1 pass, the GT1 Corvette could have slowed down for another lap in practice.

Nobody saw the Dyson Mazda LMP2 spun at the fountain? The LMP1 lola might have thought it was as full course yellow hence the lower speed.

that old Lola isn't fast, a GT1 car passed it that is a slow car

Looks like the guy in the Lola was learning the track!? But the car itself is way faster than GT1, you can notice it on the straights

@antongandon1986 yep but its longbeach the big cars cant get away on that track to many tight turns the areo setup is almost even with GT cars.

@fanofdiesel no thats not why its long beach the p cars cant get away from them at this track there big fancy engines dont count for shit there. everytime they get away they just catch right back up. its not that its old.

In a straight line; its a wrap the GT cars have nothing for the prototypes. I think this an example of driver skill.

that overtake was definitely a driver error, but prototypes aren't that much faster anyway on low speed corners anyway. The have a lot more aero grip, which doesn't really come into effect until 70+ mph. But Gavin is most likely a much better driver
