What an honour to have learned from your recordings...to me You and James Jaimeson...The best ever!! Great sound...by the way...I can hear every note!:):):):)
@dkseale Gordon has recently died and Peter Asher (brother of actress/writer Jane Asher who dated Paul McCartney), worked for the Beatles Apple label and who was responsible for James Taylor's career start is now Pamela Anderson's manager.

I remember Jerry Fisher and the Nightbeats and also Jerry Fisher and his ThymePeace band from the Esquire Club in OKC and the Loser's in Dallas in the 60s. Ray Charles inspired his style. Jerry's voice was the best around... much too good to stay only in nightclubs.
As a jazz-rock hound (brass-lover), this tune..brings me back... At the time, I thought it was "corny" and now the same-feeling! BUT** its nice to see Jerry having a great time..doing what he does best....
You are/were right, French Flower, and at the time I initially thought the same. But actually, it's clear - this is humorous - they're just having fun! (and still playing immaculately!)
I was the drummer for Just Us Five back in the mid-late 60's in Dallas. We were the highest paid group in the area EXCEPT when Jerry Fisher & The Nightbeats were in town. We always went and caught his show whenever he was there. Great singer....great group.
Blue Lou Marini on that sax! (Saturday Night Live house band, Blues Brothers)

This has become one of favorites.
Ever since I first did a youtube search for BST and Wadenius.
At it's time a truelly underestimated talent internationally.

Took me about one minute to adjust to the vocalist not being Clayton Thomas. Got to see the band with Jerry Fisher once. They were great
