@dimviesel I preferred the old UFC where it was almost anything goes, except for headbutts, shots to the groin & throat & no eye gouges - it was more real of a street fight, only it has been watered down by it's rules & regulations to make it safer & profitable as a sport & to my understanding there are certain states in the US which don't condone that level of violence - check out the early UFC days.

Badr's got issues. even if it didnt hurt that much it was smart of Remy to stay down. shouldve been an easy disqualification. and yes i saw spider vs belfort. fuckin surgical kick man! the kick was clean and the impact.... priceless! great fight. ufc is still "street-brawling" compared to K1. im still a fan tho, i guess

When he sees Badr is in the corner, Remy puts on a show and acts like he can't continue. I don't condone Badr's actions here, but to see Remy win a championship like this is atrocious.

it might not be a gentlemen act by Badr, but I totally understand his frustration. Look at Bonjasky's fighting style..Remy's not there to fight and go to the extreme (otherwise he would have continued), he's there just to play safe, score points and win the championship. That's Remy's style. Badr, on the other hand, is a real fighter who is there to fight and prepared to go to the extreme. I'm not saying that what he did was right, but I can understand it.
