Despite what most British may want to believe due to nationalistic pride, Tim Berniers Lee did not invent TCP/Internet Protocol nor did he invent hypertext. Two Americans by the name of Vinton Cerf and Robert Kahn invented the internet in 1973. Tim Berniers Lee merely built upon what the U.S Defense Department was using-- ARPANET.

Granted, Tim Berniers Lee at CERN did invent the World Wide Web in 1991, but it was a lousy attempt to take credit for something he never invented, the internet.

CERN didn't invented the Internet...it was DARPA the one that did it...and CERN, actually a guy called Tim Berners-Lee, invented the World Wide Web... cause...it was hard for scientists to share information...so they needed to find I way to do it. If u want more specific info. use google... by the way....if u do so...u will use both the Internet...and the web :-D... (web is an Internet service not the Internet itself)
