I learnt something today my late grandad who passed away when I was born was a Pilot in the battle of Britain at the age of 18, one story he didnt tell us we found in his journal told us a story that he landed a spitfire just into devon and night with no petrol...what a hero a true hero a modest hero he is the reason im becoming a medic in the army RIP Grandad
Wonderful interviews with really special men. They may all have passed on now but they will live forever through what they did for us and we will always be grateful.
I used to deliver mail to Flanders house and enjoyed the chats I had with the old boys from WW1 . I now visit the NEW Flanders House and chat and play cards with the old boys and girls from WW2 and present day , We should never forget the debt we owe these veterans.
Thank you and the veterans for sharing this history with us. During their service to their country these boys became men without becoming bitter or angry. How did we lose that?
I'm a 28 year old man and I tell you i'ts people like these that we wan't back in this country .God bless them brave men and woman we will never see there likes again.
I don't think we realise how good we have it but while their are people like me and you and the people who have posted comments on this video who appreciate what these men and women did there is hope.
Thankyou for this

British society was very different back then. These men had held to certain values that have long since disappeared and aren't coming back.
