I Keyed him on top in the tri. I have liked Giant Oak since he was a derby contender. If you stay on a good horse sooner or later he will pay. Got back everything i lost on him in the past and then some. 20 dollar tri ticket! I hope they pick his spot for the next one. Keep him out of Dubai.
A long overdue, well deserved win for a classy horse. Giant Oak has raced against the best American horses during his career on dirt, turf, and synthetics. Always run's well, but until this race just hasn't managed to win a major American G1 race. But he's been in really good form at the end of the 2010 and early 2011 season. I always thought that Giant Oak would eventually win a big G1 race. Winning the Donn Handicap was great win for his resume!!
@GBeret83 - I had Giant Oak in the BC.Marathon(originally picking Eldaafer), but he didn't run his race. So this time around I pick Eldaafer, and Giant Oak runs a beaut!. Gotta love this sport.
