  • its only spectators. whats with the force?

  • haha, that's my patio just above the shoe store beside the Ardene. me and the room mates were gettin wasted and watching the craziness

  • @twindwick wtf are you talking about?

  • There have been serious incidents of police brutality and the unfair denial of human rights in the past... this is not one of those incidents.

The police are clearly executing an order to contain the crowd. For whatever security reason.

The only people that look bad in this video are the idiots yelling inane things in the background.

  • @mattjcoulson

When I'm being detained for 5 hours, I want to know why. I was never ID'd and my questions went unanswered. Something's fishy.

  • This is the most pathetic behavior I ever seen by police. The cops are SO FILLED

WITH FEAR! Why else would you pad yourself, carry a shield, carry clubs and guns, wear steeled toed boots while citizens wearing cut-offs and sandles peacefully go about living in their own city. The cops don't get it at all. They are being manipulated and falsely believe themselves to be powerful when the truth is they sold their souls and are too shallow to figure it out. Chimps with guns. PATHETIC!

  • @Vitotesta its uniform they dont pick what to wear

  • @oubasy Thank you for making my point! They sure don't 'pick' what to wear.. nor do they pick what to think. It's all done for them. Their way of thinking is; "Look, it says in a book in section 5 paragraph 3 that I get to beat you while wearing a badge and a vest" Most people won't take responsibility for how they behave or how they think. If one person pays another person to do damn near anything in this world it's considered legitimate.

  • We need to ask Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair:

Why was there no arrests made nor riot police dispatched at the impromptu parade that caused the closure of several intersections in Toronto after the World Cup was won by Spain?

  • Great video man, I am trying to look for my arrest, I was one of the first from the larger group to get nabbed by the tyrant cops. I was wearing a "Tyranny Response Team" t-shit that day so I think I pissed off a lot of tyrants there at the G20. Some cops did not even know what tyranny was, some cops still don't.

  • Why dont protesters shut the fuck up and stay home? I mean honestly. If you dont want the shit kicked out of you get out of the fuckin way.

  • @DJBertz94

    To all the nay sayers.

If there's something you care about in your life that gets drastically changed, how would you protest it?

  • Do these people not have the right to walk out of there, they ay are not committing crimes, this is disgusting, watching these videos where they surround them, push them and pull them out and arrest them! wtf, cant believe this! Canadian citizens cant walk free in toronto dowtown peacefully?

  • Don't believe Bill Blair's spin doctoring. There were NO warnings to leave. Look at any video here. There were no warnings. I was there. We were contained without warning.

  • 7:35 - 7:48 PLEASE TELL ME HOW THIS WOMAN IS A THREAT!

  • Leave???? Where we were, there was not any warnings??? Where are they here??? Comment Cataystic...they just rushed from all flanks and blocked in all of us..!!!! I now have a reporter friend form this horrific act by the cops and he will testify to no warnings cus he was arrested too.,!!!!

  • most of these people got there first taste in a protest involving riot squads, maybe next time they'll stay home.

  • "I wanna go home, I'm done with this". Maybe you should went home when you were given THREE WARNINGS to leave.

  • @kubelander maybe if you were there and didn't believe everything you hear on the news you would know there were no warnings.

  • @lukekeeler I was there Luke. And disgusted by the action of these so called "peaceful" protesters. Now go back too your pipe and X box, and leave the comments up to the grown up, K?

  • I almost want to hit dislike this is so disturbing. thanks for keeping us posted.

  • I got trapped in this as a bystander...it was 4 hours of hell.

  • I was there for the whole 4 hours. People were crying. Police were randomly grabbing people. We had no food or water. After 2 hours of being forcibly detained, it started raining and I was getting cold. A lot of people did not have umbrellas so they started to vigorously shake because of the rain and cold. After 3 hours they tighten the square they had boxed us.

  • @Beg2Live4Life We were not allowed to sit anywhere except on the floor . We couldn't reach into our bags. One guy reached into his bag and he was violently grabbed and pulled behind the riot police by other police officers. We were given to option to either deliberately let us get arrested or to just stay were we were. I wanted to witness the whole thing because I could not believe my eyes that such a thing could happen in Canada.

  • @Beg2Live4Life People were getting so wet you could see through their clothes. Most of the young teenage girls deliberately let themselves be arrested because they couldn't endure the humiliation of people watching them almost naked. The police had us boxed in at around 5:45. They were mostly silent for around 3 and a half hours with no instructions on what they wanted us to do. At around 9:30 an officer gave us instructions. The irony was that they were not instructions, they were orders.

  • @Beg2Live4Life The orders were that we would be put in buses for our own sake because we were getting cold and wet because of the rain. He also told us that once on the bus we would be arrested and processed. At 9:45 the riot police had a change of mind and for an unknown reason they decided to let us leave. The whole event began as weirdly as it began.

  • So they're using containment as a tactic. If a citizen was to do this to another, this would constitute "forcible confinement" according to Canadian law.

  • I was on the opposite side but it was more of the same thing, no exits, sit tight, move back. This is intense footage, do you have more? I want to see what cameras were rolling when the torrential rain started.

  • Wow, there was even a woman in a wheelchair trapped in that.

Possible threat? Yeah right, what a joke.

  • Those are civilians and media!!!!! not black bloc, not violent protesters have to be fucking kidding me! all the people that think this was not a big deal, What if it was you or YOUR loved ones who were stripped of their rights and treated like cattle
