thank you everyone that prayed for the recovery of me my boyfriend and my daughter! we are all still recovering! and at the time of the accident i was 7 weeks pregnant and now we have a healthy handsome little boy!
I was driving by a bit past 11:00 p.m. last evening and still everything in that area was blocked off and shut down.
The line ups are crazy in this area. There is a speed limit and I've no idea why people are driving so incredibly slow many km's before the merge. It's frustrating at best but patience is needed.
MexCan65: The only thing I can say to you...is that I'll pray for you. So there.
@MexCan65 Well nobody asked you anyway. You just seem to believe somehow that you were included in all of this. Nobody is telling you that you need to do anything at all. You are nothing but ignorant, coming on here to do nothing but create negativity when and where it is not needed. I always see people like you as people that are not happy with themselves and are so miserable with their lives that they have nothing better to do than try to rain down on others to make themselves feel better.
@dinbin it wasn't near the merge at all. it happened just before the sign that says there's construction in 4.6 km. it was simply an accident ,not because of those assholes who wait till the last minute to merge.
People have to start merging earlier. None of this "rush ahead on the left and cut in at the last second" stuff. It causes the whole line to have to jam on it's brakes, making it worse the farther back the ripple goes. People are selfish.
@Newschaser.. I read your info tab about the girl being held hostage and I would like to let you know the girl is now safe, shaken but safe. I havnt heard about the guy who had taken her hostage but hopefully i'll hear something soon. My prayers are going towards all those involved with yesterdays accident.
you think?if you don't know what is actually wrong with the people involved don't post it.I'm praying for you jessica, chris true, and little kelci i love you guys please be ok.
Just watched on the news. They never announced any fatalities so thats good. Said a total of 9 people were involved .5 were taken to hospital. Wishing everyone a speedy recovery!
I drove on 15 East today and was in that area at around 1:30 PM. There was an electronic sign warning of the lanes merging 4 km ahead, and there was at least one other sign later on, so I don't think that signage is a problem. Some cars were too close together while others (a Corvette and a Mustang) passed everyone and cut into the right lane at the last second, causing slowdowns behind them. At some points, we were going 10-20 km/h. Perhaps something similar resulted in this collision.
@ytppotvin I Agree with you that people not waiting in line like averybody else who is as late as them to get to work are cutting infront of the line and even driving on the shoulder to get in front are accidents waiting to happen! Pleae be curtious and wait your turn like eveybody else!
Sleeping Peace, I think the construction warning signs start shortly past the accident scene. Obviously not far enough ahead of construction in this very busy weekend. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, I'm just going by memory.
I imagine the transport driver is devastated for what happened. I've went up that way a few times this summer and seen many close accidents where the traffic stops. What I wonder is, were there no warning signs ahead of time?
By the way, the baby the mother is pregnant with appears to be ok as well.
Up towards her hip and she has bruising to the brain and lungs. The daughter is currently being taken to Halifax and I do believe she will be ok. The worst one is the driver who I hope ends up ok as well as the other 2.
I knew you have footage on this also so I came to check. Thanks, and everyone help pray for them please.
I know the people in the car that the transport hit directly into. There was a man driving, Chris True, his girlfriend Jessica Anderson in the passenger who is 2-3 months pregnant and her 3 year old daughter Kelci Arsenault in the back seat. The driver is in ICU with internal bleeding in 2 areas in his head in a coma. The girlfriend has a concussion and issues with breathing and a broken shoulder blade or something. She's pulling through. The 3 year old daughter has a broken leg.
@fready2009 That's what they believed but she's actually saying some words now so I'm sure she'll do fine. Slowly but surely. The walking part well, that's because her leg broke so she's all casted up.
I figured you were getting this shot. I was on the west side of Moncton today waiting to get some shots of the westbound VIA passenger train, and I overheard on the radio about them restricting their speed along here, as there was a lot of paramedics in the area. Had no idea what was going on..just assumed their was an accident.
Drove by seconds after it happened, heading towards Moncton. People were getting out of the car that's next to the tractor trailer. Several people seemed to be in the vehicle directly behind the trailer, and there honestly didn't seem to be much movement, but, like it said, it had just happened. The dust hadn't even settled yet. The problem there is that no one expects to have to make a stop because of construction. RCMP conf. and road still blocked is not a good sign. Sad sad situation.
I've been looking for info on this accident as well. If you have any updates, please post. I heard a young family with 2 small kids were involved but not from a reliable source. Could you tell any makes of vehicles?

To clarify (in response to amlnorm): I'm not sure if the electronic sign was before or after the scene of the collision.

no couldn't tell make of vehicles sorry , RCMP are holding Press Conference tonight around 1O or 11 PM
