If you're trying to cause emotional disruption about the end of the world, shouldn't you try to get a real person with real emotions to narrate this? lol Just a thought.
Good overview of some of the potential geological aspects of 2012. Another thing is, the equator wouldn't even have to rise for this to happen. Simply the mass movement of so much rock and magma so fast would level everything that is sitting on top of the rocks aka US!
