Very excited especially to have a a place in the Opening Ceremony among the many thousands of participants, we are going to wipe the memory of China, fantastic as it was, into history and put a real British stamp on this.
That red structure off to the side of the Olympic stadium at 0:44 - is that the cauldron, or is it that "Orbit" sculpture I heard about a few years ago? (Or is it that the "Orbit" sculpture *is* the cauldron, and you're just being sneaky? :D )
It all looks amazing, and I can't wait for London 2012 - I'm hoping to make it to London later this year (after all the craziness has died down), and the Olympic park is definitely on my "must-see" list.
just wait till you see some of the latest pictures of the Olympic Park meadows. They are full of wild flowers and the whole place just looks spectaular. This will be such a wonderful games. Well done London.
@sportygal1991 Any Olympics will undoubtedly have to have temporary venues built. The fact that there are so very few in London and that the basketball arena will be packed up and shipped elsewhere is testament to the legacy planning of London 2012.
Thanks for sharing that with us...i had hoped to make the Olympics one of my vaction stops, but dont think that will happen...In the meantime i'm enjoying watching the process thru twitter and ur website and will be cheering on atheletes from afar! Eveything looks like its coming together beautifully
I can not wait!! I love football, and baseball, but damn, I wait with baited breath for that 4th year to roll around, so I can get my Olympics fix! Good luck to everyone participating. :D

The basketball arena is going to be buldozed after the olympics. What a waste of money.

@sportygal1991 correction, it's going to be transported and sold to Brazil. It'll pay for itself.
