This is definitely my favorite song from Rez. This remix is pretty impressive and really lends itself to the stage really well. I like when the genres are crossed in Q? software titles. Reminds me of Andy Hunter's music appearing in the mobile version of Lumines. Always a good soundtrack in these games...

oh you mean that remix.back in 2004 i bought all the vinyl releases by freeland.including the album "now and theM" and both mindkiller singles.one contained that jaz kooner remix.i think it sucks.maybe not in general but in comparision to this awsome version i posted.its the one wichs fits the best when it comes to REZ.

It still retains the "wire frame" aspect of Rez but everything is much more evolved now, the snake/ dolphin things are back from level 5 but much more detailed. There is no music on Eden that can even come close to this though it's all dance shit...... It's a visual masterpiece though and you don't even need the connect. I got it second hand for £20 quid, well worth the money.

Child of Eden is to Call of Duty, as REZ is to Geometry Wars Retro Evolved.

Sometimes the simplest vector graphics trumps graphic realism, and makes the journey that much better. REZ isn't as flashy and overloaded as CoE, but it is the whole package with its stylized visuals and mesmeric auditory input; captivating you from the very beginning, and keeping you entranced until the very last boss.

The transition at 8:40 shifts it to the best part of the track. I always played this level in Rez just to hear this section. The noise that hitting the eight little gate activators always blended perfectly, but it really hits home during that section.

The thing that makes Rez's soundtrack so amazing is that the game play is a part of it. The way you kill enemies and the speed you kill enemies affects the sound. It's really quite neat. You should grab the demo from XBLA if you can :)

ODST's production time was cut down and overpriced by Microsoft, and I actually really like Reach's sandbox... Not so much how it's actually implemented in the campaign. I don't like Halo 3, like Halo 2, and Love Halo CE.

And fuck... As bad as Halo is now it's still got more soul and love put into it than any COD after number 2.

@bersaba Actually, Rez would be on the list of top game sountracks half because of the game itself. You can download it for 10 dollars on Xbox live. I swear I'm not an Ad. Point is, when you kill enemies in rez they make synthesized noises and it adds to the song. This plus some random "the mind" "mind" "Killer-killer" turns the song into something different. The visuals change and move with the music,and the music is programmed to stick with your visuals. It's... It's quite an experience.

i still remember unlocking this area and i was insanely surprised since i didn't expect an entire new area just for completing the 4 areas at 100%ish (can't remember the exact requirements, but something like that).

then i just saw that beautiful "area 5" field and listened to the preview track and it was just... so incredibly beautiful!

when i started area 5 i was whispering sth. like "what the fuck, this is awesome!" and went through my first trip without drugs.

Win7 does come with Windows Movie Maker, problem is the newer version of the software severely limits what you can do with movies. It's not my recommendation, but it'll do for laying audio over video.

Oh, great upload. I bought the soundtrack CD and was disappointed, the in-game mixes are much better. Great to hear this again, as it sounds in the game.

I have the Dreamcast orignal (Japanese I think, I can't remember), would really appreciate it if someone can give info on how to get these tracks off the disc (if that's how it was done). I've googled a bit but found nothing yet.

According to the uploader this was taken from a rip someone put on soulseek 5-6 years ago, it's from the PS2 or Dreamcast version, but I haven't found the original rip & don't know who made it (or how to do it myself). And I'm pretty sure Rez HD's mixes are the same as older versions, I own all three but I might be wrong. Do you have a source for that (different mixes)?

At the time, I was searching all over for this mix, as it was in-game. I kept getting older versions that weren't labelled as such, so when I found that this matches with the 360, I assumed it only matched with the 360. It probably does also match with other versions of the game, and could have been ripped from any of those. I just know it matches with the 360 version I own.

Regardless of where it's used, this is a killer mix.

Theres an OST but it dosnt contain the same version of this track here.

besides i just uploeaded the theme of the 2nd stage.but of course its another rip from the game and about 3 times longer and cooler than the OST version :)

It's really amazing how this game track is so much better than the soundtrack version. It's almost painful to compare.
