Hi, You'll have to take my word for it but I haven't added any clever effects/sounds to the mixer. All the sounds and imagery was played from the DVJ units and mixed by the SVM-1000 live. You're right, the video was made as a piece of marketing but everytime Pioneer gives me a brief it's always stated that we show what the devices can really do. If you're intrested in it's capabilitys you can see some tutorials on my Markbreak channel.

Anyone else notice Sander really doesn't spend much time (or is just isn't shown) working with his mixer? I realize he has controllers for each CDTable, but it's like he's just barely mixing anything...too involved with the SVM-1000 to worry about mixing anything or even crossfading. The fades are weak, the crossovers are simple cut-to's and even the intros are layered horribly. WTF happened here, sander? This is your "inspired" mix?

Mate, I've had religous, life-changing events take place for me while (sober) at parties where the music is the reason I arrived...this is just one man's concept of the next level...and if he has time to fuck around with a pretty little gadget while plays his music...then, I can't call it anything more than half-assed DJ'ing.

I like Sander...he was among the best DJ's in the world...but this is not what got him there.

I really unimpressed...A/V Techs have been doing this shit for years...how does this become edgy and groundbreaking? I've seen this style of party many times over the years...the only thing new here is the DJ is controlling the visual as well as the audio. more work, more effort and less outcome. Splitting the focus into two separate parts really only makes them each less than what they could be.

I like Sander...but this isn't anything new or better than anything thats already being done.
