I understand that this was a highschool production, but frankly, I've heard better. The singers sound are very off key, the characters sound very forced, and it doesn't sound well-rehearsed. The Second Stage Theatre Productions (All volunteer-based, noone was paid, and it was mostly highschool and college students) version of this that happened this summer was much better and more detail-oriented and almost natural. Check it out.
excuse me this is a HIGH SCHOOL PRODUCTION give them a f''''''''ing break!!!!!!!!!!!!!! voices are really great tbh, how you think they feel people saying they awful!!
I agree with the no concern showing. Plus, they are right, you are in high school and four parts shouldnt be difficult. And I dont know the ins and out of every aspect of the musical, but if this song is partly about urging everyone to put on the life belts then why is everyone wearing them from the beginning. This is a great musical, you should take more pride in doing it. Sorry to call you out on things.
At this point in the show, the passangers have been gathered in the grand salon and are told a motor has stop and they just need to be there as a formality to ensure safety, so they dont know there all yet that there sinking. I think.
In the version I saw, a push cart rolled across the stage in the song's brief pause, signifying that the boat was starting to tilt. When they start singing again, everyone's voice starts carrying a note of urgency and worry. All the actors began putting on their life belts, too.

Okay, it seems like no one cares that the ship is potentially endanger along with your lives
its way too calm, the ryhthm stays the same
and it makes it Impossible for Etches to sound good at all
and you ALL sing only 1 part? whats up with that?
4 parts isn't that bad, at least get the 2 main ones out.
The only thing good about this was the special effects that replaced the tea cart
it was original, but completely false in pertaining to the truth of what happened on Titanic
