@harrypmgs AP and HTPB are both abbreviations rather than chemical formulae. HTPB is also known as RBS when used as a high power rocketry fuel. A quick search on wikipedia will tell you lots about these substances.

If you didn't know, Nitrous Oxide (N2O) which is the oxidiser in this type of hybrid motor is actually laughing gas. Another interesting substance! Also worth a look on wikipedia.

@rathergoodstuff crap. that is a common abbreviation. i was thinking otherwise because it's easily confusable with AMP, which can also be shortened to AP, adenosine monophosphate (of the ATP and ADP molecules in mitochondrial reactions), but I guess in context no one would ever use adenosine phosphates in conjunction with rocket fuel. you win this time, mr. goodstuff.
