@kattlikzm Nop, you can't. I have the app on my ipod 2g and it tells you to connect the car kit. Im plannig to buy the car kit on ebay or something. It seems like a pretty good deal for the price :P.

@StreetFerrari yes you need to buy the app seperate. The car kit only comes with the cradle (hardware) - no software is included (I wish it was though at this price point!)

Depends, do you have an iPhone or iPod? If you have an iPhone, you wont need a carkit, because it has gps. An iPod hasnt got gps, so if you have an iPod you have yo buy them both... Or just jailbreak it ;)

@Kage6100 As soon as you restore your iPhone/iPod Touch, it's immediately reset back to default Apple firmware. All traces of the old jailbreak have been overwritten.

So if your device suddenly breaks, you can just restore it and bring it to Apple. If it's broken to the point where the device won't restore, then Apple wouldn't even be able to read the firmware. Either way, what they don't know can't hurt them (or your warranty).

Besides, restoring usually fixes any software errors you're having.
