Keith Green was the first contemporary Christian singer I ever heard. I heard his music when I was about 13. He had already died. I remember reading his album cover that talked about his death in my Christian friend's bedroom while she was downstairs getting a snack for my brother and I. I was listening to "The Prodigal Son" & reading about his death weeping - I was not a Christian but I knew the song was true and it was my first real experience with Jesus. I'm just seeing this today! The non coincidence part is that I was born again, then listened to Keith Green's music the same year he died! I always have been more than moved by his Spiritual music! I know he went to be with the Lord! He ministered to me, and I'm sure many others, thru his music!! I just finished reading "No Compromise" by Melody Green. It's a book everybody should read. 12 people were killed in the same plane crash including a whole family (parents and six children.) Keith took his two oldest children with him. The two youngest ones stayed with Melody. They will all meet again in heaven. That's the difference. When a Christian dies, he/starts a second, far better, life in the presence of God. When a non-Christian dies he/she awaits a second death.

In the Summer of 82, I drove from PA to CA with 2 of my friends. One of the places we stopped was Last Days Ministries in Tx. Naturally, we asked to see Keith but he was too busy. We signed up to receive their newsletter.  Only a few weeks later we were shocked by Keith's death. His music still speaks to me.

Thanks for the video! By God's grace, I became a believer in Jesus in 1982 at the age of 30 and soon after, a friend gave me Keith's music.
