The reason the Mac Pro takes so long to boot is because when you turn it on it does a hardware detection and tests all the hardware inside to make sure it is working.

It's not the whole computer that determines how fast your computer starts up, it's mainly the hard drive, the processor, and the OS. Fuck sake these people with Macs don't even know how to open a computer, if you can call a Mac a computer.

Its illegal, there is no support or drivers, and like coled82595 said you can't run it side by side with windows. With a Mac you can run both side by side in many various ways.

I agree, both machines do boot sluggishly. Heck, my G5 boots faster! If I had to point the finger at one issue, I'd say this: he hasn't ran permissions, maintenance scripts and/or re-optimized within the last few to six months.
