I agree! This was the Golden Age of WWF. It went downhill a few months later. Do you remember the Raw before Summer Slam, when Austin put Kane in the back of that hearse? And he went to get in the driver's side to drive it out of the arena and the door was locked and Taker was inside? Then it was Taker v.s. Austin at Summer Slam, and Taker told Kane to go back to the locker room (dont get involved). It was epic.

They had that pathetic "I'm a monster" kane-undertaker 'storyline.'

Sure, Triple H, Kurt, Kane and the Rock are great wrestlers, but they just can't compete with the popularity and explosiveness of Austin and the Phenom. Besides, early 2000 was filled with constant back and forth title matches between Rock and Triple H. Plus, by 2000 they had already started "humanizing Kane", so to speak.
