There is a good possibility. But if you watch the video, you will also notice it takes a little long for me to shift between gears. I wasn't able to "bang gears" in the car because the transmission was still a stock unit, which broke on even lower boost levels. I hope I can buy my car back someday.

I know I lost. It was fun. It is just frustrating sometimes when you know you have a quicker car. On this day at this time, the BMW beat me fair and square. It is a sweet E46 M3 too.

You are absolutely right, but it was very difficult as the tires were bald continental street tires, it was below 20 F., and the transmission wasn't the greatest at that point. If I was able to launch like I was with R compound tires and a trans that worked properly, then it would have been much closer.

What do you drive? What was done to the miata? When my miata was running the maximum boost and best tune it had, which was only a few months later, I blew away that same car. However, there are very few turbo miatas, and even fewer turbo miatas with that kind of power. But beware, you just never know what one might have done to that strong little 1.8 liter lurking beneath the bonnet of such an unassuming car.

Just got my motor built. Expecting ~400 rwhp on race gas, 325~ on pump. initial pull @ 7 psi was 260rwhp/272ft/lbs :) Cant wait to break in this beast haha.

You obviously have never driven a miata...

I have an 03 with coilovers and suspension upgrades, and you can throw it around ANY turn you desire with out a single worry, its amazing. Anyone whose driven one, or even better one on coilovers knows exactly what I'm talking about. My brother has an M3 and ill tell you it cant take corners for its life in comparison to a miata. On striaght road yes itll eat an unmodded one, but on a track even a stock miata can pull on an M3 if you know how to drive.

Yes, it had a Tial Wastegate vented to the atmosphere. I thought it sounded great, especially when pulling up to the unsuspecting, Mustang Cobra, Corvette Z06, M3, Ferrari 360 etc. When the car was running full boost, it would smoke them. It was a great car.

That large sign on the right was the 1/4 finish, but we both stayed in it until you heard me lift off, I was running out of gear as the car is gear limited to just about 130mph. What setup were you running on your miata?

I had a 94 with a FMII turbo kit. It had the link ecu, 3" exhuast DP back. Tein flex susp. made 230 whp @ 12 lbs. It could walk away from STI's no problem, but it really shined at the road course. I am currently trying to find another turbo miata. I am selling my turbo mr2 this weekend( the works... built motor TD06 turbo, alc. injection etc. etc.)

Very cool, any videos of it up here? I had the RacingMazda Kit with some additional mods. I kept breaking transmissions, then when I decided to move to FL it was time to sell, I miss it dearly!! I was planning on going RX7 Turbo II Rear and Trans, with longer gears and building the motor to handle 30psi, looking for about 550hp or so, maybe a little less. My goal was to keep up with Z06's and F430's beyond my 130mph Top End.

O hell yea man... I wanted to do a build like that eventually. Do a 2.0L stroker motor, big ol' turbo @ 20+ psi and a rx7 rear end. I have a video of my car running my friends 560 whp 350z. Type in "afternoon cruise" its the only video I have as of right now, but this summer I am going to film a bunch of videos.

Yea I know, but my tires suck, they just spin if i don't come out soft, and I still had the stock rear and trans, the gear ratios are too short, so it spins just about all the time
