If you dig the song and haven't read the book then you need to pick it up. Be aware though; because of the way the book is written (a phonetic representation of a working class British accent by a semi-literate narrator) it can take some getting used to. But it's very rewarding and not all that hard once you get into the rhythm of it.
@TheeWreck I agree, this song got me wondering what he was singing about, and when I looked up Riddley Walker, I had to find the book. I'm not much of a reader but love a good sci-fi, and even better, the speculative future fiction as in this book. It's not very long, but getting use to the dialog is a bit of a task at first, but then as TheeWreck said, you get into the rhythm of it.
