Not really. I am an asian and really appreciate people wearing chinese characters on their T-shirt, you would get the kind of feeling that the guy has an interest in chinese culture, and easier to get along with.

This includes chinese, korean, japanese, mongolian, and I have no idea how many more. You need to come to Japan. There's way more "Engrish" here then there's Asian characters in the US. Not sure what you mean by mispelled Asian words. They have those bad English t-shirts in Asia. They are embarrassing, but not douchebag status -- it's almost endearing. I think there is a difference: people shouldn't wear shirts with words they can't pronounce.

You need to come to Japan. There's way more "Engrish" here then there's Asian characters in the US. Not sure what you mean by mispelled Asian words. I've never seen a tattoo or shirt (Other then Looking for Japanese Girlfriend ugh) written with anything other then Kanji and even then it's almost always one. Did you mean poorly written ones?

Actually I went to china and saw a ton of chinglish (badly spelled english) on tee shirts. I brought a few because they were funny...and think this is the reverse of that.

I live in China for 5 years now. Oh yeah, no Facebook there, myspace, or youtube. Youtube!?!? yeah, I know. So i use Astrill every time. Remmember China is still communist, and the government doesn't want people sharing or talking to much between each other. So no Facebook, myspace, and youtube. And some other non-important sites. (non-important to me anyway)

Also, Asia has a craptonne of different written and spoken languages. Dammit, RUSSIA is in Asia! INDIA is in Asia! What you mean is Hanzi/Hanja/Kanji or maybe Hiragana, Katakana or Hangul. it's funny because i know of a non asian with chinese characters tattooed on him. when asked "do you know what it is and why?" he said he's not sure but it's probably something profound and he likes the way the characters looked. I told him, "ok, good that you feel that way." and he asked me what it meant and i hesitated for a long time...

@chicken5soup the thing is im chinese and it doesn't sound like a joke to me because its a extremely common mispronunciation. Chinese is a very difficult language to learn and pretty much all foreign people learning chinese for the first time say SHAY SHAY instead of xie xie. :P
