  • actually i know mandarin and its not shay shay, its xia xia

  • Not really. I am an asian and really appreciate people wearing chinese characters on their T-shirt, you would get the kind of feeling that the guy has an interest in chinese culture, and easier to get along with.

  • i don't get what the big deal is. Asians are everywhere, and in western countries they would buy western t-shirts with roman lettering on them, are they supposed to abstain from that and buy exclusively from t-shirts displaying characters or just solid colors only?

  • Dude...they DO walk around with crazy English on their clothing. It is hilarious and cool. My favorite hat from CoCoLuLu has "LOADING ZONE DO NOT ENTER" on it. How's that for silly. But it is awesome. I really don't see the harm.

  • i dont get it

  • my asian roommate gave me a tshirt with chinese letters and a Nike swoosh and he said it read "Just Do It" but later I found it read "Gay Nigga Looking"

  • Shay Shay rofl.

  • Well said! While we're at it, stay in your own country and speak your own language with your own kind! Am I doing this right?

  • WHO THE FUCK DOES THIS NIGGER THINK HE IS, TELLING PEOPLE WHAT TO DO, WHAT NOT TO DO???

  • @samborlon he's the most badass MW3 player in history.. :O

    hahahahahahahahaha!!

  • @samborlon lol your probably one of the douche bag with an asian tattoo lol

  • @eastoaklandcal4 No. Actually I hate tattoos, but my point is this nigger telling people what to do or what not to do, and fucktards like you liking the idea.

  • @samborlon dude its comedy u takin it way too serious you do what you want dumbass and stop with the racism faggot

  • @eastoaklandcal4 None of your god damn business cunt.

  • @samborlon lol loser ass poor white trash

  • @eastoaklandcal4 Fuck you nigger.

  • @eastoaklandcal4 you do realise that now you look a low life racist just like that samborlan. don't let his hatred and ignorance become your own.

  • @wheresthaluv aww nah man im no racist i just talk shit i hang out with all races all that matters to me is good weed and talkin shit lol... dude just seems to have sum hatred towards black folks i dunno whats up his ass OR HIS GURLS ASS!! LMAO!!

  • @eastoaklandcal4 spread love. that's how you hurt a hater.

  • @samborlon what about the white girl? oh yeah. you're racist. the only thing he really did wrong was being black. you could've atleast called her a niggerlover.

  • @wheresthaluv I don't have to explain myself why I hate niggers. I still believe they have equal rights, but I have my own to hate them. I don't want to kill them or anything, I just don't wanna hang around them, which is perfectly fine, IT'S MY FUCKING RIGHT to like whites and hate niggers.

  • @samborlon it is your right to a low life racist. but can you actually explain to yourself with a sincere heart why you hate black people? and i have the right to speak out against your foul way of thinking. when you hate people because of race, sex, or religion. you run the risk of chasing some of the most beautiful people you would ever meet away. i'm black and proud to be that. but where in the hell does that mean i should hate you? i don't hate you. but i do hate the way you think

  • @wheresthaluv Can you explain to yourself why you don't like certain things in life? I don't have a reason nor do I need one. Just like some animals that I don't like, or some foods or... You get the idea. Also I don't care about people who don't like me. I'm ok with that but I don't try to convince people to like me. Anyone is free to like or hate me, and I believe I am free to like or hate anything or anyone. There may be good blacks too, but I just don't give a damn, causer I don't like them.

  • @samborlon how stupid does that sound? their is a cause to every effect. that's just how it is. if i hate something, i can tell you why. anybody that can't, usually don't like the reason why. it might be because of jealousy, or something lame like it. be real man. did a black dude take ya girl or something? oh the fuck well. to hell with both him and the girl. that don't mean you should hate black people? open your mind. you'll be surprised what you'll find in this world.

  • @samborlon Spread love, not hate.

  • @samborlon Dude it seems like you have quite a miserable life. Ranting here and there. Facing reality is your biggest problem.Have my sympathy. :(

  • @Physicspilot Hey fucko, my life isn't any of your damn business. I speak up my mind and express my point. If you get it, good for you. Otherwise fuck off.

  • ok they totally said thank you wrong at the end

  • didnt recognize here without a ton of mascara lol

  • Hahahaha well I live in Taiwan and actually all the Chinese are running around with caps that say "Kat" or even funnier stuffs like "I wanna meet your mother", " I like bumble jumbo" or even the famous "This is a really many" and honestly they love it! We think is very funny and is a good way to start conversation. By the way the character on the guy's t-shirt (開運) means "Lucky " :P

  • kat means cat in my language... :P

  • I guess they've never been to Brazil... A great many clothes ppl wear with English on it make absolutely no sense if you actually speak English. Ppl just wear it cause English is "foreign" and "cool". lol And while we're on the subject, I'm not Asian, but I do have a Firefly shirt that says "Never Give Up" in Mandarin.

  • Isnt she the girl from " Grounded for life" haha love the video!

  • Hehe reason not to buy asian knockoffs = Japanese/Chinese or w/e might say "I love cock" on it (Happened to my friend) xD

  • aaron and becca! :D

  • the tee says genius btw (天才) in both chinese n jpnese

  • who knew aaron and his gf were so serious abt such things :P

  • Pretty sure they mispronounced xie xie at the end in keeping with the joke about misspelled Asian characters, guys...

  • Xie Xie, not shay shay haha

    but nice psa

  • KAT with a K? Sounds cool to me.

  • I use what fucking t-shirts I want, you stupid fucking bitches. I have mine in Chinese saying FUCK EVERYONE, I FUCKING HATE YOU ALL WHO FUCKING READS THIS. It's fucking hilarious when a Chinese guy walks by, and especially fucking funny if some fucking douchefag tries to fucking ask what the fuck my t-shirt fucking says. FUCK IT'S SO MUCH FUCKING FUN.

  • @K4inan i didn't know that there was a Chinese character for fuck

  • @K4inan Stupid kid, screaming fuck left and right doesn't mean your giving a point,it just mean your. One,an attention whore. Two,Very very childishly stupid and three, you have anger problems. Plus your obviously lying anyways but still, your stupid

  • @ElmoePlusTwo I'm stupid? You're American, and still you do not know the difference between ''your'' and ''you're''. Let me educate you alittle, YOUR is the possessive form, you're is a combination of the words YOU ARE.

    Here is an example;

    YOUR PENCIL.

    YOU'RE RETARDED.

    Do you get it yet?

  • @K4inan Bitch, see how ignorant you are? and i HOLY SHIT I SPELLED "YOUR" INSTEAD OF "YOU'RE" Whoop dee fucking doo! Kid,i know that, and i swear to god that is starting to get OVER USED, you see little fucking kids who don't have a come back, desperetly look for "your" so they can be little retards and correct them and think they're smart (<-----AND HOLY SHIT I SPELLED "THEY'RE" WHICH IS THE CONTRADICTED FORM OF "THEY ARE" I'M SO FUCKING SMART! HUR HUR HUR HUR)

  • grounded for life was fucking lame

  • @pyllywaltteri: how?

  • I think They had a lack of asian people for this bit..

  • lvl:Asian

  • fuck you guys, they arent asian characters theya re chinese. ITs just like saying english is the same as french and spanish

  • Comment removed

  • @100Hasake ummm what are Chinese? .....ASIANS!

  • @bratyboo101 yeah well they keep saying asian characters or symbols. malaysians indians are asian but they dont use symbols or characters they use letters. They should have said chinese characters instead. BTW asia is a continent not a race, or a country.

  • @100Hasake We are all well aware that Asia is a continent. However, the term "Asian character" refers to any symbol used as a form of writing in the oriental asian countries. This includes chinese, korean, japanese, mongolian, and I have no idea how many more. The fact of the mater is is that, just because I can tell japenese and chinese letters and words apart, I still have no clue what they are saying. Also, letter and character are synonyms, as it appears you don't know.

  • @IForgetYourName Actually Mongolian language doesn't use characters, they also use letters just like us

  • @almadragun Oh really? I didn't know this. I would have expected them to use a lettering system similar to other countries of the region. Hrm. Strange, then. You wouldn't happen to know when they adapted the latin characters/alphabet, would you?

  • Hey, isnt that the girl from grounded for life?! She still looks the same

  • its so weird seeing becca without makeup or swearing

  • That used to be me

  • "Xie Xie" is actually pronounced "She-eh She-eh", not "Shay-shay". For future reference.

  • @ajeter2629 What about shae shae

  • @MrRoflcopterfromHELL As far as I know, and I took Mandarin Chinese for two years, and my teacher was from Xi'an, there isn't a character pronounced "Shae" or "Shay". However I could be wrong.

  • Lol thanks in mandarin is more like Share-share not shay-shay

  • o_o they said my name twice at the end....shayshay

  • Money...spelt with a z *looks confused at him*

  • @MrRoflcopterfromHELL Da monez!

  • I think people shouldn't wear T-shirts without knowing the meanings behind them.

  • Why do they care, there not Asian...

  • you said thank you wrong!! lol you disobeyed your own PSA :P

  • @Joseito1116 :: Isn't it pronounced Shieh-shieh? Sorry it's a little difficult to try and type it phonically

  • That ish true

  • @alexke oh yes ofcourse! :)

  • Yes.

  • so what.. we all have to stay in our own comunity?? blacks with blacks.. white with white.. everybody in there own side..? -.- seriously?

  • she looks better with the black makeup

  • He was definitely stoned.

  • I went to Little Tokyo a while back, and a shop was selling t-shirts with Japanese characters on them. They didn't have an English translation near it, and I didn't think much of it until I saw a white tourist checking one out.

    The characters read "Shit-head" xD

  • As to the "what if".... it is hard to find clothes in China that DON'T have bad English writing on them

  • You said thank you wrong...

  • 586 people have Asian words tattooed on them

  • @dkleinman22 or...their chinese people who are offended after being called a douchbag!

  • KAT=CAT in Dutch :-)

  • @tirsaaxx Deutsch!

  • @memingas18 No I mean Dutch = Holland/the Netherland, not German ;)

  • @tirsaaxx One is always learning! :)

  • @tirsaaxx hey don't forget Belgium :)

  • Shay-shay. XD

  • i'm asian and i don't give a shit. i'm more concern about how american media portray asian .

  • @jojoinhere American media makes Asian look smart. that isen't a bad thing.. is there?

  • @NordProductions we don't look smart. we are smart in some area.

by statistic we work harder in school and work place.when i see an asian on screen he's always the shortest and less manly among the group. and once again by statistic asian(chinese, indian, indonesian etc) of asia are only few centimeters difference with other people. and asian of american and europe are almost the same height as every other people.

  • yea so true its not kool to wear them Asian tats n shitt bitchesssss!!!!!

  • He reminds me of Prince U_U.

  • They have those bad English t-shirts in Asia. They are embarrassing, but not douchebag status -- it's almost endearing. I think there is a difference: people shouldn't wear shirts with words they can't pronounce.

  • @poofy8food yep like i lived in canada for most of my life and im chinese so my mom always insists on going to china every year and i always see bad english grammer shirts like -family happy- and many more so yea your right about that

  • kat is in dutch cat

  • shall we introduce these people to engrish.com?

  • i want that lucky cat shirt! where did you get it? lol

  • uh my asain shirt is awsome. yyesssss!!

  • "shay shay"

    in arabic

    "tea tea"

  • ランダム日本のキャラクター

  • I loved Lynsey's performance in Grounded 4 Life and still feel she is vastly underrated as a comedic actor but this skit wasn't funny just irritating and dumb.

  • You need to come to Japan. There's way more "Engrish" here then there's Asian characters in the US. Not sure what you mean by mispelled Asian words. I've never seen a tattoo or shirt (Other then Looking for Japanese Girlfriend ugh) written with anything other then Kanji and even then it's almost always one. Did you mean poorly written ones?

  • I'm half Asain so i wear Japanese Dragon T-Shirts :D

  • Actually I went to china and saw a ton of chinglish (badly spelled english) on tee shirts. I brought a few because they were funny...and think this is the reverse of that.

  • next time, try to make a video saying that non-Asians should not mispronounce the asian/mandarin words (especially if say em on youtube).. shay shay! :)

  • There are tons of asians wearing shirts with english they don't know on them.

  • Her shirt says 天才 which I think means Genious lol

  • @NyappyChocoChan Sadly you misspelled genius.

  • Comment removed

  • the first word is "tien", heaven

  • In my language Cat is spelled with a K

  • @TheLovemusicguy DANISH!=!?#¤JDFI all caps rage because im random

  • @BurntGuy1998 Danish?

    im dutch....

  • @TheLovemusicguy yeah!? well in danish cat is spelled with a K too!

  • y'all should probably look into getting some asian actors in your troupe...you know, so you can claim diversity (and so your asian-centric skits can be funnier)

  • There are websites devoted to hilarious misspellings/grammatical errors/just plain odd phrases of English by Asians. Why should we deny them the joy of getting a good laugh at all the misspellings we probably do with their language?

...Or am I missing the point here?

  • lol

  • Hey Philippines is in the tags YAYYY

  • "Were not asian" CAPTAIN OBVIOUS IS BACK

  • lol that shirt says genius

  • Well, to be fair, the English language is a lot more important world wide. So it is common for people in other part of the world to wear shirts with English worlds. So you can't really call those clueless asian people a douchebag...

    I'm chinese.

  • thats retarded china is not only asian country

  • I live in China for 5 years now. Oh yeah, no Facebook there, myspace, or youtube. Youtube!?!? yeah, I know. So i use Astrill every time. Remmember China is still communist, and the government doesn't want people sharing or talking to much between each other. So no Facebook, myspace, and youtube. And some other non-important sites. (non-important to me anyway)

  • i love ya, lynsey

  • I'm stoned.

When they turned and said "WRONG"

    I freaked the fuck out.

  • but... what if you have mandarin Chinese or Japanese as a second language?

  • Does that go the other way around, i.e an Asian person wears something with English-writings on it? Nah, this is just ridiculous.

  • i don't know if you checked out the T-shirt pictures on engrish's website but yeah badly translated english phrases are pretty popular in some asain countries. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go take steel wool to my tatoo.

  • LULLLLLLZZZZZ in my country KAT actually means CAT XDDD

  • what if I was born in Japan and lived there for 14 years and Came to Canada and I happened to be black and prefer to wear stuff from "home"

  • press 2 fast an hear gin

  • I do Japanese as a second language and would usually be able to read any of the kanji on the shirts I buy. I'll happily continue.

  • What if you've been to "Asia" and brought back a t-shirt? Or are learning an "Asian" language? Does that count?

Also, Asia has a craptonne of different written and spoken languages. Dammit, RUSSIA is in Asia! INDIA is in Asia! What you mean is Hanzi/Hanja/Kanji or maybe Hiragana, Katakana or Hangul. Sure, it's not as easy to say in this video, but you ain't exactly being specific enough by just saying Asia.... And now you know!

  • fucking hell they do piss me off

  • My sister named her cat "Thank you" in Chinese. (Cat was a gift and she's a Firefly fan. Wait, should I bring up Joss Whedon here?) I told her that if you pronounce it a little different it's Shi-Shi, which means Pee. :D

  • i don't get why it's wrong..?

STAY AWAY FROM ASIAN CHARACTERS?? REALLY??

what i'm hering is STAY AWAY FROM ASIAN!

  • can you make some more beacuse im japanese and im tired of getting sterotyped from anime books and TV shows

  • sup nigger ?

  • Hello my american friends,

Just here to remind you that a well educated person can speak many diferent languages, including Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese etc.

    Sincerely,

    The rest of the world.

  • it's funny because i know of a non asian with chinese characters tattooed on him. when asked "do you know what it is and why?" he said he's not sure but it's probably something profound and he likes the way the characters looked. I told him, "ok, good that you feel that way." and he asked me what it meant and i hesitated for a long time...

"erm... ok although i don't quite understand why u didn't find out before getting... your tattoo says "chair".

    He was pissed off.

  • @maofoo Just tell him to "sit on it"

  • they are not trying to be racist and promoting segregation at the same time LMAO

  • Where whatt you want to wear........jeez! It's a free world. These douchbags shouldn't call other people names.

  • stupid... all american think all Asian is CHINESE??!!! im asian, but not Chinese... Chinese language is not Offical Language for ASIAN...

  • im asian and i dont have a single shirt like that, serisously

  • It's funny because in China, this happens.

  • LOL SHAY SHAY does NOT mean thank you in mandarin. XIE XIE means thank you in mandarin. BIGGG DIFFERENCE

  • @yochickayoyo

LOL... awesome... you're saying they managed to pwn themselves? ^_^ how ironic :D

  • @yochickayoyo I believe that's the joke...

  • @chicken5soup the thing is im chinese and it doesn't sound like a joke to me because its a extremely common mispronunciation. Chinese is a very difficult language to learn and pretty much all foreign people learning chinese for the first time say SHAY SHAY instead of xie xie. :P
