  • if you do it with your left hand the pips will be block...doesnt look as good

  • it's really hard

  • i thought this was the cardini change

  • i thought this was the cardini change

  • thanks

  • Pardon my ignorance, but what's the difference between Cardini and Ego Change?

  • @BrenProductions You can't just flick it with your pink. That's why you use your right hand to cushion that sound. See how the right hand's palm contact the card being pulled away. Make sure that you also have an empty space below the deck of your left hand. Pay attention to the small details I go through because I put those there for a reason. Hope that helps =)

  • @TricksterAP When covering with the palm of my left hand (right handed). I noticed sometimes the card will start to scrape up and try and "unbend" itself making multiple snapping noises and sounding really sloppy? Is that something that just goes away with practice?

  • thx 0 i really like this change :D

  • This colour change, is a refinement to Cardini's Flick change. In summary, if Daniel Garcia claims this is a new move, he is sadly mistaken. John Steranko's shadow Steal was published way before this in "Steranko on Cards" before Daniel Garcia was even born... I hate plagurism...

  • R u living in Canada? BC?

  • @raccoon0413 Ontario =)

  • you had a blank card in your deck you can see it at 00:18 about the midle between the 6 of spades and the 6 of clubs

  • that was smooth and didnt hear the card, when i do it, it always makes a noise but i only have queen slippers cards :s

  • DIV

  • you're really good, and what kind a accent is that?

  • @lilxcupkes I suppose it's a Canadian one XD But since I'm an immigrant, it's a Canadian-Korean accent? Haha

  • cai loz me may kin vl thek

  • Let me just say you perform this Change amazingly well. You can still see the indice of the 4 through thye crotch of your fingers, and see no movement when it changes. It really makes the change look beautiful!

  • Looks like change by dan&dave

  • Oh gosh...

  • you're pro :) pró vagy

  • I did this tricks , but did not know existed, I did it on my own

  • what is your double lift in video ?

  • lets learn it

  • theres a blank card right next to the 6 of spads and clubsat 0:17

  • @ThePinkskater12 haha, I just wondered what it was xD

  • its bicycle standard?

  • i've spent quite a while practicing this trick now and so far it works out pretty good.

i would never have thought that reducing the flapping noises would become one of the hardest tasks here. I'm trying to follow all the advices given in the video, but for some reason i can't get it silent enough. and i don't want to slow down the performance too much, because i'm afraid spectators become suspicious. any advice?

  • @xJin123 Maybe try deepening the pinky's grip. The further it grips the card inwards, the more control you have, meaning you make less flapping noise; well at least for me that is. =)

  • @TricksterAP

hey, thanks for the quick response... i'll give that a try tomorrow then. it's almost 3:00 am over here and i think i should quit practicing for today ^^.

thanks again and your videos are definitely instructive and most of all impressive ;)

    keep it up.

  • whats that called when he makes an arc and makes all the cards flip like a dominos

  • @Lae54 That's called a ribbon spread turnover =)

  • wow you're good...

love your vids... now I finally found out the ego change...

P.S You just got a extra sub..;)

  • Comment removed

  • fantastic performance, very clean and great video picture.

  • does anyone else find that their fingers refuse to do this and move the card?

  • @nerdmurderer yup me , card stays on top cant do it and my fingers hurt like shit ,( new deck of cards)

  • omg great performace

  • it's dificult!!!

  • lol... pause at 0:17 and look for the face-up 4D... about 2/3 from the left... :D

  • This is MUCH better than the cardini change!

The cardini change makes loud sounds, and if the spectator hears that they won't think that it's magic. They will just start to try figure it out.

So i'm trying to say, USE THE EGO CHANGE!

  • lag lag lag....

  • FANTASTIC DEMO. WELL DETAILED.

  • visible duble lift

  • what make of cards do you use?

  • @DjTomF00lery I use Bicycles =)

  • thumbs up if u watch twice at 0:08.. xD

  • hey in the very beginning when you perform the double lift, you push the two cards out before flipping them over. how do you do that without flashing?

and your tutorials are amazing keep up the good work :)

  • @stven007 Practice my good friend =)

  • @stven007 if you look closely enough he does flash slightly however he just does it in a way where he doesn't draw attention to it which can only be achieved through practice as he said.

  • @stven007 I think its called a pushoff doublelift, he has a tutorial on it i believe, just search through his videos, its something similar to pushoff haha

  • holy crap thats clean

  • Such a smooth performance, I saw the little adjustment of the card moving to the bottom though. But it took me several replays. :p Good stuff.

  • @MaGiCDuDE822 I just use the basic settings and change around the colour balance. That's all =)

  • LOL this made me go WHAT THE SHIT :OOOOOOOOOOOO

  • It's very usefull!Thank you very much for such a good explanation!

  • great tut!

  • Diference with the cardini is just speed? and that its grabd by the pinky?

I've practicd the cardini for a long time nd i didnt know bout ego :s

    However, really nice tutorial!

  • OMFG my deck is hunted when at the first when u do the ego change u have a 8,when i try to do it it apear me a 8 of spades and then in 1:38 i got the queen of diamond on bottom

  • this is so ******n hard....

  • just wanna say that your tutorials are really good

keep up the good work :D

  • wow,, Performance was REALLY clean good job

  • LOL blank card :)

  • i still dont get how you make no sliding sound whatsoever!

  • PLEASE READ THIS TRICSTER. ive been having major trouble with the noise. you can clearly tell by the noise that im sliding a card. do you have any tips on minimizing the noise?

  • can you tell me how to spin the jack of spades?-they are cool

  • @SharulHsc Try searching up on YouTube: Pirouette Flourish Dan and Dave. They have a pretty nice free tutorial and it's done by a professional so it should help :)

  • Thank you for posting the tutorial, but I really hate it when the camera is facing you. You should place your camera behind you, its easier to learn. The video is soooooo long and you talk toooo much. Other than that its all good. Maybe talk less and straight to the point, when the video is too long people cant be stuff watching it

  • @jackalwill When you go straight to the point, there are lots of little details that are missed out on. Those little intricate details are what makes the difference between a good and a great magician. Well, this is more directed towards beginners who need those little details however =)

  • Can you make a tutorial how to do sprint ?

  • @Ludaks95 uhhhh sprint? Do you mean the spring?

  • @Ludaks95 yeah :S

  • can you make a video on the cardini change? I need some tips.

  • @JaceTheMagician watch davemagic4 one

  • what is the difference between the cardini and the ego change ??

  • @OliverDuarte88 The cardini is more instantaneous and a bit more noisy. the hand position is also different than the ego.

  • @OliverDuarte88 watch my change and you will find

  • Is this practical to use surrounded?

  • @imagicman If you are holding it with your right hand, you are exposed to your right. If you are holding the deck with your left, you are exposed to your left, Other than that, it is very practical =)

  • can you please tell me how you do this double lift. Please I cant find any double lift tutorial which is good for me

  • Really good thanks

  • 0:18

    There is a blank card.

  • @sendtodiego Yes, Yes there is =) I wonder why.......

  • a 9 minute tutorial for a 3 second effect thats crazy

  • this is hard for me! ugh

  • yours are the best tutorial in internet... Really.... many many compliments from italy

  • @MaGiCDuDE822 Samsung ST5000

  • Can you please post a tutorial of the Cardini change

  • @sendtodiego There are many online tutorials on youtube. I currently have 4 midterm exams this week, so I don't have the time to at the moment.

  • If you watch Ultragaff videos and if you have seen the trick unicycle by Daniel Garcia

then could you tell me if he does the ego change to vanish the spade on the box

And what is the difference between the Cardini and the Ego?

  • @sendtodiego Sorry I haven't watched the Ultragaff video. The difference is the way it is performed, and the the grip.

  • Can you post a tutorial on to spin a card like you spin the Jack of Spades once it is changed?

    Thanks

  • @sendtodiego

Put your middle finger on the middle of the card on the bottom.

Your thumb supports the card from the top.

Your index is next to the middle finger.

Then, use your index finger to push/pull the card into a counterclock/clock wise motion.

Your thumb does not touch the card when this happens. (you move your thumb)

    Hope it helps.

  • @Xclann

    Thank You

  • Out of your four which double lift do you do for this trick

  • @sendtodiego None of my DL lifts teach this one and I don't plan to teach this one.

  • Have you made a tutorial on the double lift you do?

If not, could you, I really want to learn it:)

  • @corey7695 I have 4 different tutorials on the double lift in my channel. You can check that out =)

  • U actually do it right!! thanks!!

  • you make realy good videos p.s. some magicans in germany like your videos, ;)I too

  • @moederpuppe200 Thanks. I'm glad you like it =)

  • Ok... You do change very well, but it`s sad that not your creation is being revealed.

  • Thanx mate much appreciated ... All your vids are very helpful btw thanx again...

  • @hEaDsHoT187jp No problem! =) I hope it helps. Good luck!

  • Oh and also I'm left handed and on the playing cards the numbers are on the top left and bottom right .. So when I'm face up fanning it looks crap cuz u don't see any numbers as u fan anticlockwise/counter clock wise ..any suggests on a brand of card thanx ..

  • @hEaDsHoT187jp I think this would work well for you =)

It's from amazon so it's very trustworthy (99.9% they will get you for what you paid for) + it's a standard size deck.

It's the official bicycle lefty deck =)

    amazon.co.uk/Left-Handed-Playing-Cards-Bicycle/dp/B002Y62FS8

  • This is gonna sound stupid but what's the size of the cards called ... Because I ordered some bicycle playing cards off eBay and they came standard size but there bigger than usual ???

  • @hEaDsHoT187jp They should be standard size I believe. The smaller ones are bridge size (same length x shorter width I believe). That's weird though. If you have a standard bicycle deck, trying measuring the sides with a ruler and compare them.

  • Albert, can you explain the difference between the Ego Change and the Cardini Change?

  • @Lith825 Sure, I'll try to give you the gist of it. The Ego change has been modified by Garcia to be performed smoothly and silently by holding the deck up by the tips of the fingers. This allows for a slower performance. Cardini change on the other hand has a deeper grip, where the deck touches the palm of the hand. The cardini must be performed quick, and this quick action that's needed make a very loud snappy noise. In other words, Ego is a silent version of the Cardni.

  • @Lith825 Also, the Ego change can only be cleaned up smoothly or nicely through the rotation of the packet. The cardini change, however, seems to be able to be cleaned up through the action of rotating the packet or squaring up the deck. That's the gist of the difference.

  • @TricksterAP Thanks. And your tutorials are gold!!

  • @Lith825 No problem =)

  • in the past... i remember you saying you aren't very good at a particular color change... i think you said it was this one... if you did... you lied... that performance was no different from actual magic...

  • @CopyCat1995 LOL! I'm 99% sure I said I wasn't good at the Cardini Change xD

  • Man your performance looks like a camera cut!! =)

  • Outstanding ...

  • I dont think the spin will be different if you were left handed

  • I love this channel!

  • Thank you that was awesome! Best tutorial on YouTube!

  • @Rocker4092 No problem =)

  • albert i want to say some thing before i see the video i know that is the best video thank you for these good tutorials
