  • Ido and ikido. Ikido - control, ido quick death

  • Deadly Aikido? :)

In what life time is Katatedori Shihonage deadly? That's just a joke!

In fact Aikido is considered to be more of a life style then a form of fighting. Its a life style where one does not need to use violence or conflict injury to those around them, while at the same time never to brake a sweet, when practicing self-defense.

Aikido can be done by all people regardless of size and strength. That's he beauty of it.

    What a joke! Deadly Aikido?

  • ....The appearance deceives the ignorant fool .... cannot comment on the aikido without sense of their technique and their meaning

  • Nice choreography ^_^

  • it s only deadly if one does nt know how to fall, just don t let them grab you you are safe...lol

  • ok people have to realize that this is choreography

  • @December314 you do but YOU are unaware of it... sorry?

  • Great choreography but .... why we never see aikido in free style fighting.

  • Gozo Shioda, . . . AMAZING!!!!!

  • Deadly Akido = Do what you always do, but this time, ATTACK HIM ON THE GROUND! Kick him in the face or the ribs or w/e. That's all it takes really o-o

  • I miss it so much, it's still probably ingrained in my muscle memory from all the repetition

  • I guess they say its not deadly because there's no tournaments with it

  • I thought Aikido was supposed to be almost completely defensive, flipping the opponent and such.

  • Whichever style the attackers are using sucks!

  • Still waiting to see the "deadly" aspect of this dancing style.

  • @xChuckNorrisKickx

I used to feel the same way as you. However, after 20+ years of studying other martial arts I joined Orange County AikiKai. Extremly skeptical and over the last 4 years I have been turned. It may look like a dance but these guys have mastered their bodies balance and how to steal the opponents balance/momentum. It's no different than any over form of Ukemi. We slap, check, pull punches, roll, etc in other arts. It's no different, try it I think you'll like it.

  • i came for the music and stayed for the Vid x)

  • not gonna lie steve tossed da fuck outta them dudes during that randori tho...

  • FF7 FTW !! xD

  • aikido is a modern martial art its randori becomes second nature,so an assault can be avoided without concious thought, the harder they come the harder they fall.many martial arts try to copy the techniques, without realising the need to protect the practicioner from damage.thats why the ukemi looks graceful, the reality is the assailant hits the road or breaks a joint.and it the only martial art that take weapon attacks seriously.

  • final fantasy 7 hands down the best game ever i loved all of the music

  • developed from swordfighting, spearfighting, bayonet and close quarters rifle melee arts known at the time it's a more in depth and deadly version of the modern cqc used by the army rangers of today. the guy who founded aikido was also a clairvoyant. was it due to training in these arts? idunno

  • If you respect so much aikido learn that all martial arts of the world are based on the ancient Greek Pankration performed since 800 B.C. ( maybe earlier )

  • @LARGAS13

don't be naive, martial arts have existed as long as humans have had conflict. The roots of martial arts don't belong to any one culture. Just as world religions have different geographical origins, so do martial arts.

  • @Shenkanese What ever you say. Nobody else though put all this knowledge in an ''order'' before Greeks . The first time in history that we see martial arts performed (and especially as a sport not as a mean to kill somone) is in ancient Greece........ and do yo know when was aikido first time shown in Asia?.......... I bet not before Pankration!!!!

  • @1:50 Steven seagal

  • song name?

  • People who immediately dismiss Aikido as "fake" and "choreographed" after seeing TRAINING videos do not realize that these techniques, when used in practical situations WILL inflict tremendous harm on people. In training, the Uke MUST employ these receiving techniques to prevent severe injury. This is why I refuse to engage in debate regarding the effectiveness of Aikido. The detractors jus don't know enough to make their points.

  • @Pipistrello How would you compare Aikido to wrestling and to muay tai?

  • @adelpero12 I don't know anything about muay tai, but I have taught aikido principles to high school wrestlers with a lot of success. Wrestling usually relies on strength and opposing the opponent's holds etc. With aikido in the mix, wrestlers use the opponent's own strength and momentum to move them past the intended result in their own favor. Obviously, many aikido techniques are not permitted in wrestling, but the principles can apply nicely.

  • @Pipistrello Thanks for your response! In many aikido videos it seems that aikido is way more dominant than any other style of fighting, so I would like your opinion on aikido vs wrestling, which is the most effective in combat/self defense?

  • All we can see in that vid, is that Seagal is NOT a good aikidoka (vain randori...)... Aiki is not made for display, it' s something internal, that leads to real reflections on our human condition. Aikido is not the source, nor the river, nor the ocean, aikido is the water. If you want blood, glory and light girls, it' s not for you, go back to ufck.

  • @Bammeaxel yeah you are right....steven seagal sucks....that's why he was the 1st and only white guy to open a martial arts school in japan.....wake up and smell the smack down

  • Aikido can be deadly ! at your training, sure you don't want to kill your partner you build confidance so you can practice correctly and so you moderate your power and agressivity

but you always have (and restrain) your power, it's like Damocles blade, other wise why is aikido made to end a fight at its begeining.

Realising and restraining your potential killing power is a major part of aikido spirit, we don't want to kill, but we have the ability to do it.

  • I do like aikido, because there's some beauty in it, but except few techniques the rest are (seem to be, at least for me) naive.

  • 1:14 !

  • Aikido and deadly?

I think Aikido is awesome but not deadly at all, it's a defensive 'fight' style

  • @ZwergpiratXXL Aikido means Gentle Way, if im not mistaken. Or something like that. Of course, it *could* be deadly, if you threw someone onto Concrete or something. But its mainly Defense/Deescalation. Definitely. :)

  • @Caeviens Right, it CAN be deadly but it's not supposed to be used as a deadly force :D

  • I want to see Aikido stylists take on the non-believers. The advancing black-belts need to stop with the "here I am with the most telegraphed shuto knife chop possible." They need to come in like Jon Jones, BJ Penn, Loyoda Machida, Fedor Emilienko, etc. showing that Aikido can work against unpredictable movements and not just wildly orchestrated knife chops, fully exrtended reverse punches, and slow extended kicks. That will convince the world. Will someone please come foward? ty!

  • @Chad01234 It is not "Aikido that works against unpredictable movements" it is the person applying it. Either the person can anticipate, block and control "unpredictable movements" or it can't. That has nothing to do with the art used to counter the attack. Do you think a boxer is able to defend against unpredictable knife attacks? bTW I doubt the persons you mention can do that either. Get attacked with a knife and 95% of the people die. Regardless what they have learned. But 5% may life ...

  • @Jiyukan Always always (and I and the United States Military cannot stress this enough) train against realistic situations. This IS what a few arts are doing, and sadly, this is what most arts are ignoring. But, with Aikido, as with other classical arts, we have something that is not meant for viable combat training. Hence why you will never see this in a military and or sports arena. Let it be a beautiful art - I'll give it that, but if I want to protect my family, I'm going elsewhere..

  • I think why people rag on Aikido is that noone ever proves it really works. But I love Aikido and Segal

  • @neaneac the anti-gun defense that a lot of body guards use is really good looking. I also love their sword work - but that's Bushido at that point. Seeing Steven Seagal toss little guys around who are half his weight is laughable. To state that size is a non issue in this - then I would point to (a) seagal above (b) you won't see Aikido used in anti rape. However - this is a beautiful art and it has its own little piece of history in Japanese culture.

  • @neaneac Aikido is designed against samurai like attacks with Sword or Dagger, or grabs with the attempt to take a prisoner. Against that Aikido *works*. No one expects Aikido to *really work* .... except people like you. If you had to change Aikido to work in a pub brawling or in an Octagon, it would not be Aikido anymore. Half of the attacks Aikido is designed against don't even exist in an Octagon ... so what is your point?

  • Saito creó esas formas inservibles con armas y degeneró el Aikido!

  • To make a point here - All of these are epic and legit moves, but these attacks are very choreographed - Example: when he twist their wrist, unless you had a good idea of what was going on, you would not do a complete flip, you would have your wrist snapped, and continue from there - Anyway, absolutely amazing how well these dans are at Aikido - great vid!

  • @Commander13CnC3 Not necessarily choreographed. I understand what you are saying, but if you have been in a wrist lock, the only way to get out of it is to flip. The steven segal portion of this video doesn't look choreographed when all 5 guys attack at once, in fact, I'd say that was some real raw aikido. He controlled direction to limit the number of attackers at once, only two managed to grab him near the end. They were trying. The students understand to roll and flip out of it.

  • is it a coordinated dance? oO

  • Seagal didint accept the challege because aikido is used to protect your self while maintaining peace so aikido dont have tournaments or competetions

  • Segal is a looser, he refused a fight against JCVD. Segal maybe a good actor, but not a good fighter...

  • @LArtiste001 you dont need to accept a challenge to be a good fighter, if you have something to prove thats when people fight. i dont wanna get too detail cause im a novice at aikido but keep in mind the scarey ones are the quiet ones.

  • 2:02 Steven Seagall !!!!!!!! AIKIDO MASTER !

  • LoL the dudes at the 3 min mark remind me of lemmings

  • there no such a thing like deadly and aikido

  • @skalarov That;s like saying there is no such thing as deadly Karate , krav maga or any other Martial art.

    Fighting can be deadly regardless..

  • @skalarov Osensei Aikido was deadly that's why he was the best martial artist of his time. But the most dangerous techniques were stop being teach to others.

  • @skalarov Sure, say that after they've slammed your face against a wall . . . .

  • @Davelestat he means that Aikido isn't meant to be deadly. although it seems violent, it's really one of the most peaceful martial arts in existence.

  • Of course Aikido is deadly. It is also intense, and full of "the spirit of loving protection." To think that Aikido is not an art form that deals with life and death is to miss the point of Aikido completely. The late Michio Hikitsuchi Sensei (Aikido 10th dan) said "Aikido should always be practiced as if facing a live blade". The spirit of protection that characterizes Aikido, emerges naturally when advanced practitioners work to train in light of the illumination of life and death.

  • even with fuzzy video... was an awesome presentation!!!

  • I immediately recognized jenova from final fantasy. :)

  • i have studied aikido in the past still interested in it, however jujitsu (not bjj) is the best i have seen for sd. Everything is in there judo, aikido etc... I have a cop for 20 years, used it many times. can be a bit brutal, but it gets the job done very effectively.

  • That is Master Sato if I'm not mistaken.... He's a badass!!!

  • cool

  • yes when somone pushes me i often do insane flips that look cool aswell lol

  • FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!!!!

    haha just kidding

  • steven segal is bad ass, love it, always been a fan but seeing him n action is awesome.

  • If you are a master of any martial art including body building and boxing, go for Aikido. If you are a beginner in the martial art world Krav Maga is a good quick fix.

Krav Maga is not an art and will not take you a life time to master, however it will give you basics of how to put up a decent fight or how to live up to self defence situation common to a beat cop. For special units like DEA, forget Krav Maga, mastering a more comprehensive art like choi li fut is more appropriate than Aikido.

  • STEVEN SEAGAL!!!!!

  • that's not aikido that bojutsu

  • @animegod4all Aikido and Bojutsu are linked, like kenjutsu (not Kendo), Aikido is a self defense art with and without weapons, even a knife or a simple stick. But the important thing is not the Bo, or the Boken, is the person and his capacity(not only of his body.Brain and soul are important here too)to evade the attack, there are a lot of Aikido styles, but the original is from Morihei Ueshiba, he used not only Bo an Bokens, fire weapons from 1º war where used for his teachings. Sry 4 bad english

  • Choose aikido it is better than Krav Maga

  • the way they fall looks so fakeeeee :(

  • @MrAlexDeSouza10 actually it doesnt. aikido uses the opponent's strength against him/her. sometimes in aikido, u have to fall although u dont want to in order to protect urself from injure.

  • @MrAlexDeSouza10 Because aikidokas won't hurt each other and they learn how to fall, it is called ukemi

  • @MrAlexDeSouza10 True, but it is called Ukemi, an active part in aikido, you perhaps have to learn it more than the actual techniques, you learn it so you do not injure yourself, or your partner, if you wouldn't know ukemi, you will injure yourself, or perhaps kill yourself or your partner, it's like learning how to fall, reduce the fall by bending your knees so you reduce the pressure and strain when you hit the ground, it would be stupid to fall head first, the same is for ukemi.

  • Johnson, did you ever make it to the academy?

  • is this fucking steven seagull ?? ^^

  • I want to learn it cause it looks so calm and fluid

  • I've heard that people say Aikido is useless. I'd assume that they've never tried to punch O'Sensei in the face. The moves may look gentle but some of it is actually twisting your joints to the extreme. That's why when we practice or demonstrate, it looked fake. We didn't want to get ourselves in hospital so we had to go along with it.

  • The same technique is performed on the first Uki at 2:15 with a better view :)

  • At about 4:00 in, that is Frank Doran sensei. A retired police officer by the way, who has been studying aikido a bit over 50 years. He teaches at Aikido West in Redwood City, and I can personally vouch for the effectiveness of his technique.

  • Well... Aikido is a whole discipline. If you practice well, you will have a strong hara, good knees, and firm internal structure. If you need something effective at a short term, you can choose krav maga. But that is not the issue. Aikido is in fact deeper and more lethal than what you imagine. We study principles, not techniques to defeat others. You need to reach the center line of your opponent through principles of movement.

  • I just started Shin Shin toitsu Aikido....and I love it ^^

  • this reminds me about one of myy training sessions, we were cross rolling and some 1 broke their collar bone.ಠ_ಠ - he never came back to the dojo.

  • @eexxppeeddiittee , @Gilkard

As I've been saying, the technique at 2:35 is called tenchi nage...

In Kote gaechi, the second hand applies a pressure on the wrist while the first one lock's his forehand. Here's a well explained example : watch?v=HB01hhonf8Q .

As you can see clearly, Seagal charges back with a punch toward the Uki's neck to push him off balance ... Please watch the following to not lead people in erreor : watch?v=RdjrjwPt4GA , watch?v=KyF8URhrCJA .

Did you meant by Ski = Minetsuki?

  • I have ever only used Aikido as a form of SD once in my life. It was done properly and I broke my attacker's wrist and dislocated his elbow with the 1 technique. I cant recall what technique I used (it was 17yrs ago now), but Steven Seagal uses it in this clip actually (time 2.35 mark). Might have been Kotegaeshi (if I'm wrong then I apologise and please feel free to correct me)..

  • @Gilkard It's Tenchi nage.

  • @Gilkard i believe the technique is called Ski kotegaeshi.....ow, broken wrist and dislocated elbow.....i never thought aikido would be THAT dangerous.

  • @eexxppeeddiittee I wasnt about to "care" about my attacker. Not my fault he didnt know how to roll and fall properly.

  • Great video! thank you for the post and all the best! Aikodo is some serious shit, and I say that with respect to the art form!

  • Advent Children ftw

  • Final Fantasy Music... Really? lol

  • Isn't "deadly Aikido" an oxymoron?

  • horrible music

  • @Bl4lock thats not true learning other styles is a good way of broadening your skills but it is hard to do you gotta put alot of time and practice i but you must have a base and start from there if people didnt adapt aikido would not be around the it is in a sence a mixture of other styles

  • @joeyandrews i can not belivie how you guys can compare aikido vs krav maga?do not u se aikido tehcnoque?what kind of idiot will atack you like that fake?who will give his hands to you and will wait you do something?while you do something look at their face chin open you will get smeshed face..agly aikido for lazy people.

  • @bushidoartss do you know the origans of aikido ?? have you ever been into an aikido class and had any one of these moves put on you ?? when it is done to you you will understand you have no choice but to go with the pain i dont do aikido but i have tried it out and it dose work

  • there are many aikido demostration is because we don't wanna break anybody's bones or probably twist hands. if all these goes in normal motions all the trolls would probably say "this is crap. hurting your own martial art's partner and etc etc etc"

  • What's the music called? Btw nice compilation :)

  • que ganas de cagar buenos videos que tienen!!! la puta madre!!!

  • I am sorry, but Aikido if can be deadly. The art was intentionally tuned down so that all could embrace and practice it safely. But with an understanding of the basics and variations things change towards the side of "oh shit" for the bad guys. I am not an expert but I like spanking bad guys so I used my basics and came out alive.

  • great vid, but the music just kills it

  • It doesnt look like people can get knocked over that easily :/

  • guess who? They mystery dude is Steven Segal for those who live under a rock.

  • only the music is like 'deadly'!!

  • do you guys know aikido can defend against all matail arts

  • The music is from Final fantasy 7?

  • "Deadly aikido" is against the very spirit of aikido. Killing / maiming / injuring people is not what aikido is about, and O'Sensei who developed it, coming from a background of deadly martial arts and real-life military experience, was very vehemently disdainful of a focus on violence. Aikido is for preventing and disarming violence, and creating peace where you have the option not to kill.

  • The interesting thing about aikido is that the longer you're in it, the better you get and the less strength is required. You don't see any 75 year old MMA guys tossing anyone around, where as with aikido, beware of the old guys!

  • The Steven Segal part is just stupid, guys flying around like if they were ragdolls, gtfo.

  • Law Enfoecement, that's one of the main reasons I joined!! But actually I love Aikido and plan on being in it for a long time.

  • very good video, thanks, but i dont like call deadly to aikido, thats not the way

  • im going to the police academy next year and i can't choose between this and krav maga for self defense as an officer.

  • @ssminojohnson23 I'd suggest both!

  • @rehwr yep l agree both

  • krav maga is more of a street fight kinda thing, id go with krav maga

  • @rehwr krav maga and aikido are similar in the sense that they both are used to stop the fight immediately, but what if you are in a situation where you can't stop it and you need to resort to fists? I suggest taking Aikido (or Krav maga) and take another martial art that is based on knock out punches like Tae Kwon Do, that's the combo im going to be training in in a couple months and trust me it will help in terms of speed and the ability to knock someone out if you need to.

  • @ssminojohnson23 Rehwr is right. If you can fit both in, it would be the way to go. I've only ever trained in aikido and I can vouch that you would probably find it useful in law enforcement. We had open days where police and bouncers were invited to train with us.

  • @ssminojohnson23 I think both are great ... but you need to practice aikido long time to actually use or understand how it works! krav maga is faster to use it effectively as it is just a fight system. Aikido is a way to re-learn to move again, and it involves also mental training to fully understand it... i dont know if im explaining right!!! but in aikido you have to learn how to feel your enemy movement!!!

  • @ssminojohnson23 Yea, start with both, but as time goes on and when you can use Aikido in actual fights, stop the Krav Mega. See, I know a guy who is in the police force and is a master in Aikido. Every time he gets caught on tape in a confrontation he's always proven innocent in court. The moves are so peaceful looking he never gets charged of anything. I'm serious, GET GOOD AT AIKIDO!!!! It will help you! :)

  • @ssminojohnson23 I would learn aikido first. Maga is just offensive, death moves basically.

  • @ssminojohnson23 spar with both and see which one kicks your ass more.

  • @ssminojohnson23

Aikido. They focus more on weapon retention. The academy is going to teach you something similar to Krav anyway.

  • @ssminojohnson23 krav maga and aikido?i am 18 years martial arts exeprince..krav maga is real art for man..aikido is dance my friend..of course you should choose krav maga, krav maga is not sport for real sitaution,i ma muay thai fighter,i am nidan black bet in karate,i have done sambo, but 2 years spetnaz army and 2 years police force.i can say nothing works good then krav maga..do not even think about aikido..aikido and krav maga is like hyundai vs ferari

  • @ssminojohnson23 I would do KM for your job and do aikido for yourself. Aikido is amazing, but takes allot of effort to master. And I suppose, you will be on the street long before that. :)

Although, rather than KM, I would suggest Wing Chun, if that is an option.

  • @ssminojohnson23

Don't do Krav Maga, do Aikido

  • @ssminojohnson23 ive done krav for 2 an a half years, do it

  • @ssminojohnson23 Almost ever police officer knows gracie ju jitsu, and thats all you need to know

  • @aries4135 First off Gracie Ju Jitsu is simply modified judo. Being a great ground fighter is essential, especially now or days, but you need to be good standing (ie multiple attackers, close environments)... to imply that one style is all you need is an arrogant statement. You need a style that covers standing striking and grappling as well as ground. Although there are tons of "Gracie" Jujitsu systems, I dont believe any of them are perfect or complete.

  • @buffmedic01 I totally agree with you, but in the training of gracie ju jitsu it teaches you how to defend strikes, and ultimately clench and take-down. The only reason why i love gracie ju jitsu which i do learn. Is that it saves lives practically everyday. It could save a girl from getting raped. Save a cop from someone trying to grab his gun. many analogy's.

  • @ssminojohnson23 its like chooseing between Jedi or Sith ;D one is all about loving and preserving all that is living, the other is evil, all about killing in the most brutal way possible

  • @ssminojohnson23 I suggest krav maga due to the idea that it's about confronting an enemy with a bigger advance, like a dagger, or gun. The police in Israel all have krav maga experience, and from what I've seen it's a pretty nasty way of defending yourself. But it's very effective!

  • @ssminojohnson23 if i am you,i would choose krav maga since it's deadlier and faster to take down an opponent.and if someone pull a gun on you,you can take out his gun and kick him in the crotch.but that's my opinion.the choice is your.note:my english is bad so pardon me

  • @ssminojohnson23 - i d suggest NONE :-)

  • @ssminojohnson23 Not that Akido isn't a great martial art, however Akido both in philosophy and actual use is a completely defensive combat forum. This can be used by many people cause they are preparing themselves for situations were they are not the aggressor (ie. stopping a mugger,). However as an oficer o the law you will be put into situations were you must be the aggressor (ie. apprehending a suspect.) Krav Maga is mutch better suited for this situation, not better, just better for this.

  • @Entropy11223344 Ha, you make me laugh. Yes, when you are first learning Aikido is taught solely as self defense, because, simply put, a new Kyu grade will never have the skill to use Aikido offensively. But once one reaches Dan grade (assuming said student is being taught well and actually earned their Dan) Aikido becomes a VERY offensive art.

  • @insaneguyblah hmmm I thought akido also taught respect twoards others. There seems to be plenty that you have proven me to be wrong about akido.

  • @Entropy11223344 Some forms. My school taught it as a form of defense, with much more advanced students studying offensive applications of the art. How ever we teach as the original students were taught by Kenshiro Abbe, who taught a very no nonsense form of the art. Where other schools teach that one harmonizes with their opponent, we teach that your job is to defend yourself, if your attacker is hurt by you doing that, then that is their problem, not yours.

  • and I never denied that akido can't get mean and nasty. Bones get snapped, heads get crushed on pavment, but all of this relies on your oponet makeing the first move. Again, maybe I'm wrong and your right, perahps there are moves in akido which you initiate, however from what I have seen (and yes I have seen plenty of demonstrations and have sparred with dan levle) and have never seen a single move proveing me wrong. However I am happy to admit to being wrong if you prove me wrong

  • @Entropy11223344 Thank you for the respect you have shown, it is refreshing. And as far as initiating the move, that has more to do with launching a strike (such as a punch) that leads them to try to grab your wrist, or block, or in some other way stick one of their limbs out enough for you to grab. Or, for instance, I could walk up to you and shove your shoulder, as you try to regain balance your center moves slightly out of place, I then take your leg and apply torque.

  • @Entropy11223344 That makes you fall down, and now I am seconds away from breaking your leg. There are many such moves, how ever, because of the nature of the art, most techniques are, as you have said, reactionary. Now a large part of what we are taught is restraint, because these techniques can be so brutal we are taught that in practice you take the technique as lightly as possible, while still actually applying the technique.

  • @ssminojohnson23 take BJJ or Mui Thai, no offense to Aikido guys but if you take aikido ur gunna have some problems if you get into a street fight. Sure there's a bunch of good techniques but you'll kick ass using bjj

  • @CQBAirsoft130 Yes, BJJ or Mui Thai will teach a student street ready self defense FASTER, how ever, a student of Aikido of skill is just as much of a threat in a fight as a skilled user of BJJ or Mui Thai, and in many ways much more effective, as much of Aikido is based around the simple fact that in order to attack me, you must put a limb of yours within my personal space. When dealing with a skilled Aikido student attacking merely gives them control over the limb you attack with.

  • @CQBAirsoft130 No offense taken, I have used Aikido twice in a street fight with success. A BJJ student I trained with during the same time, top of the class(won the Gracie Nationals) was attacked at a party, took the guy down into his guard and began to choke him out. His attacker pulled a knife and thrust it at him, luckily a 3rd party saw it and grabbed the attackers arm or our student would be dead!! Any BJJ student would make the same mistake, WHY- to protect against, train against!!

  • @ssminojohnson23 Please do not become one of those corrupt cops. Be a peace officer. (As far as i know, most cops sign up for the 'action' and not for the sake of helping people.)

  • @ssminojohnson23 i say go to krav maga becuse learning and mastering aikudo takes alot of time amd practice while in krav maga is more simple street self defense

  • @ssminojohnson23 krav maga is wild fighting no techniek just like get the hell out of the situation aikido is a way of life you need dadication you need to master it it will take time not the 4 yaers police academy gives you for it

  • @ssminojohnson23 Fuck the police

  • @ssminojohnson23 I've seen Krav Maga and currently studying Aikido. Krav Maga will definitely work in most of the cases, specially with untrained people. Its based on physical power and speed; so forget about it if you opponent is heavy and big. On the other hand, Aikido well executed is probably the best and most complete curriculum out there. The thing is to find an Aikido teacher who teaches it in a martial effective way (like Iwama style). Just my opinion :)

  • @ssminojohnson23 krav maga is far more of an offensive martial art. aikido is more harmonious, and in my opinion is probably harder to master. though if you learn both, it's a plus! knowing both a defensive and offensive martial art is deadly.

  • @ssminojohnson23 krav!!

  • @ssminojohnson23 Aikido is more of a martial art derived from spiritual need's but it's deadly as hell if the suspect doesn't comply and also Krav Maga is the kind of martial art the Military in israel doveloped so I suggest both styles :D

  • @ssminojohnson23 choos aikido its the best options for police oficers and security oficers j am security officers and aikido realy work withoat any law conflikt but its stil your choose

  • @ssminojohnson23 Do you expect to be attacked by 12th century samurai? If so, pick aikido, if not, go for krav maga.
