their first 2 records had a lot of dark atmospherics and black metal type vocals, but the instrumentation of the members far exceeds black metal standards (barring the drums) cob are really hard to confine in a genre. they have death, power, symphonic, black, neo classcal, and even a little thrash to their sound. i dont think the tag melodic death metal is necissarily fitting but its somewhat correct, but they are pretty unique among that particular subgenre
