Well well yes this was a disturbing situation. What is more disturbing to me is how 36 THIRTY SIX people can wacth someone stab someone 40 times. I dont understand, but i believe humans first reaction to anything is to panic before they react. With a different crowd that might not have happened. The suspect used a knife, no gun involved.
Just judging from the interviews it seems that the able bodied young men on the bus made the decision to get the other, mainly elderly, people off the bus to safety putting themselves between the perpetrator and the other passengers.
What surprises me, though, knowing that part of Canada very well, is that none of the other passengers had a gun on them.

You're distorting the facts.
The reason the police waited so long to enter the bus is because they already knew the victim was dead, everyone else was off the bus and they had no idea what type of other weapons, like a gun, he might have had.
This, in addition to the fact that because of the way a bus is designed, the officers would only be able to enter single file, leaving the lead officer very vulnerable.
Better to let him mutilate a dead body than risk another victim.

Well well yes this was a disturbing situation. What is more disturbing to me is how 36 THIRTY SIX people can wacth someone stab someone 40 times. Just judging from the interviews it seems that the able bodied young men on the bus made the decision to get the other, mainly elderly, people off the bus to safety putting themselves between the perpetrator and the other passengers.
What surprises me, though, knowing that part of Canada very well, is that none of the other passengers had a gun on them.
This is the prairies we're talking about. A lot of rough necks and cowboys out that way.

The victims mother has a website, and on it she says how the police watched for almost 3 hours as Li mutilated and removed the organs from her sons body and did nothing - they just watched. It was only when Li tried to escape out of a window that the cops napped him. I guess they didn't want to violate Li's rights as a killer, so they let him mutilate and cannibalize the body.
