  • Incredible tune. It finally found its way as an official release on The Stones reissue of Some Girls Deluxe Edition. However, the vocals were re-done for the re-release. Your video has the original vocals, (which sound almost tongue-in-cheek) and therefore, I believe, it is a better example of what the Stones sounded like during the 1977-78 studio sessions. thanx for postiting.

  • Five days later, it sounds even better. I don't think that it would have worked on the original "Some Girls". Too much country/blues in a "punk era", might have reduced sales. I would have bought it, regardless.

However, what I view as a country parody: "Faraway Eyes" is a gem that is stuck in my mind after all these years.

  • I can't stop listening to this song. One of the Stones better country songs.

  • lovely.

  • they had these songs sitting around for 30 years....

  • Sean Connery IS James Bond! And The Rolling Stones ARE Hank Williams!

  • HELL YEAH!!! THATS WAT IM TALKING ABOUT! AWESOME SONG!

  • great song. thank you

  • A pleasant surprise! I'd subscribe, but You Tube won't let me. I get this message: 'You have too many subscriptions compared to your number of subscribers'. WTF? I keep up! They told me to 'drop some old subscriptions if you want to add any new ones.' Anal-retentive Nazis... Anyway, I'm so glad to hear this - I can't post it today as a favourite cause they also think I have too many - which I keep up!!!

  • I love the Stones doing country. Oh, sure, this could use another take or two. But the emotion and drunken, broken heart are right on.
