@angus147258 wow thanks so much man. no ive never had a lesson, although sometimes i wish now that i did. just for some theoretical guidance and rhythm divisions etc... i understand alot of this now after playing for so long, but it would have helped in the beginning. ive never looked at any books or dvds sorry man, although watch some michael manring videos on youtube ( particularly him playing helios ) hes my idol and the king of bass. my hugest inspiration

Your band's really lucky to have you as a bassist. One of my best friends kind of still plays bass, but he can't even play "Crystal Mountain" by Death. He doesn't really care about anything other than Warcraft.

hahaha warcraft ruins peoples lives... i play some first person shooters.. call of duty, half life2, crisis etc... but definitely always play bass for a fair few hours every day

Yeah, I play fps's, and I play Warcraft too, but he's obsessed with it; whenever we drive somewhere, I just tune him out cause that's all he talks about lol. I only play guitar around forty minutes or an hour a day, because it gets kind of boring playing by yourself all the time.

That's a great song! But it kinda less suits the band's direction on "The Aurura Veil", so I kinda understand why it won't be recorded, though it's a shame- as an individual song, with no context to anything whatsoever, it's really really great, and one of the best bass performances I had a chance to listen to.
