Dang, 3 people have some issues! I think this is so adorable! Mothers don't usually feed their babies that early? I figured those babies hatch hungry!
@humza6951 i bet you touched her babies accidentally or just moved the eggs. some birds don't want that especially if they saw you moving her babies or nest.
@stargazrt4 um i know this might be a stupid question but what type of love bird is the momma bird i owned some love birds before and thinking of getting another one i do not know alot about species.
no wait- let me refraise that....your dirty ugly personality. if you didnt wanna friggen see it, then why did you watch it dipshit?! i think that is the most beautiful thing i for one have ever seen.... :) and MANY people no wait EVERYONE would agree with me! idiot....
hehe i used to have 13 lovebirds in all because the mom had babies wit dad. So we had to buy like a 3-4 ft long cageand a birdhouse. The mom kept ripping our papers to make a nest inside. So happy. Then couple months later we had to sell them all even the cage. It was so sad and i never saw them again. :'(
@Str1cker meh i donno i've seen things that made me throw up. human spit makes me nauseous worse than human vomit. Just because people throw their spits up in the air and catches them in their mouth. Those who vomit and eat it back up or shit and eat the shit are being a bit overboard to be taken seriously or normal. I still don't know why are you so disgusted with this either. I've seen RL human moms chewing/mashing bananas in their mouths and feeding it to their infants :P see?
yes,actually..... bird's can't really smell (to thefidleontheroof), well they can, just not that good. so the "dont touch the babies or they die" thing is a myth. the thing is some parent's don't like it when they SEE you handling their young.
chaelaun, the answer is no! I am not a pro but I've had parakeets for a VERY long time and I've handled eggs so I have experience. You touching the eggs doesn't affect it. It depends on the parents on the exsistance of the baby. When they hatch THEN you should not touch it because you leave a scent on them and that's a no-no. I don't mean that you should play with it. Don't harrase the eggs or the babys. Touch it ONLY when neccesary. Hope this helps
Birds have the same scent of smell as us. The parents smelling our scent and then abandoning the eggs is a myth. If they did abandon the eggs after you touched them, it is because they are avoiding the predator (you) intruding their nest.
Well, the correct, scientific answer is that parrots eat 10%-15% of their body weight at each feeding and the food and baby should be measured out precisely before every feeding.
Es muy raro el nido que le tienen, yo tengo entendido que los cajones de madera son los mejores para ellos con un poco de acerrin, pero es muy dificil que nazcan....
OK ill use proper english. Well im american so why wouldnt I? I have a bird named kiki. I want to become his friend but he keeps biting me. how would i get him to stop doing that?
hey some tell me plz my lov bird keeps settin in the nest box. but wen she comes out i look in side cuz she be in there for a long time n wen she. so wen i look in side theres no eggs n she hella fat right now n not loud lik she ues to be. n she comes to me now after a year of not likeing me. but i put new paper in there should i put sumthin else in there? some one plz tell me asap
i hav one more to ask.. how can i get my female to lik me more. cuz i had my male longer so me n him we cool we play and all that. y she just looks. but i been tryin wit her but all she wants to do is bite me n all that.
Will the lovebirds take care of the young all by them selves? or do the humans have to take care of them..
im really worried because my lovebirds are fertilized and my family is really busy so we wont have time to take care of the birds. will the birds take care of them them selves?

They also can socialize the babies and watch them all the time as they keep them warm, which is something we can't do all the time. Nothing can compare to a parent bird! Beautiful video.
That is so cute!!!When you started breeding lovebirds did you let the parents care for the first few clutches or did you start straight away with hand feeding?

They also can socialize the babies and watch them all the time as they keep them warm, which is something we can't do all the time. Nothing can compare to a parent bird! Beautiful video.
