  • Such a great mum! I read the story and just watching her feed her baby, it's wonderful. Hope she keeps it up! ^^

  • Dang, 3 people have some issues! I think this is so adorable! Mothers don't usually feed their babies that early? I figured those babies hatch hungry!

  • Its the most beautiful thing i've ever seen on youtube.

  • i also have lovebirds. they lay eggs but they dont sit on them. why??????

  • @humza6951 i bet you touched her babies accidentally or just moved the eggs. some birds don't want that especially if they saw you moving her babies or nest.

  • @chichiri05 but i touched her eggs after 40 days just because they were not hatching?

  • @humza6951 maybe her nest has been shooked before you touched it? remember, they're so sensitive and very observant about their eggs.

  • WOW! THAT'S SO CUTE!

  • @stargazrt4 um i know this might be a stupid question but what type of love bird is the momma bird i owned some love birds before and thinking of getting another one i do not know alot about species.

  • The truth? This is the most beautiful birdie feeding video I have ever seen. Mia is such a sweet mom!

  • the chick was like . its my first kiss with my mommy !

  • Does the mom make the food by herself?

  • she is so gentle! a m a z i n g <3

  • AWWWWWWWW it's sooooooo adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Can the baby see at this point?

  • Does the mom feed its baby when the baby is a little older because the mom and dad still cares for its baby and the baby looks very healthy

  • The babys just chillin on his back and getting fed. wish my wife did that for me.

  • Do they sell baby bird formula at petco cause my love birds ar goingto hatch soon and i have no iea what to do

  • @Str1cker

yeah its almost as ugly as your face.

no wait- let me refraise that....your dirty ugly personality. if you didnt wanna friggen see it, then why did you watch it dipshit?! i think that is the most beautiful thing i for one have ever seen.... :) and MANY people no wait EVERYONE would agree with me! idiot....

  • awwee I have a Lovebird that looks exactly like that and I want her to have babies :D

  • hehe i used to have 13 lovebirds in all because the mom had babies wit dad. So we had to buy like a 3-4 ft long cageand a birdhouse. The mom kept ripping our papers to make a nest inside. So happy. Then couple months later we had to sell them all even the cage. It was so sad and i never saw them again. :'(

  • so beutiful but i must be strong i cant cry! (few minutes later)

    {crys}

  • @Str1cker I know, then there is your mom.

    ~Rodney

  • @stargazrt4 LMFAO. goodone!

& miaa is a awsome mommy. shes beautiful too.

  • @stargazrt4 Nice BURN!

  • @stargazrt4 LOL

  • @stargazrt4 lol you show him

  • @Str1cker How can you freaking say that?

I hope a lovebird attacks you... Wouldn't surprise me if they did with as how ugly as you are... wooops.

  • @Str1cker LoL you got owned.

  • @CastanedaDude LMFAO XD

  • @Str1cker you jagof! this is cute as h@!$!! i've got 2 birds .

  • @Str1cker meh i donno i've seen things that made me throw up. human spit makes me nauseous worse than human vomit. Just because people throw their spits up in the air and catches them in their mouth. Those who vomit and eat it back up or shit and eat the shit are being a bit overboard to be taken seriously or normal. I still don't know why are you so disgusted with this either. I've seen RL human moms chewing/mashing bananas in their mouths and feeding it to their infants :P see?

  • thats nicer than u

  • Comment removed

  • yes,actually..... bird's can't really smell (to thefidleontheroof), well they can, just not that good. so the "dont touch the babies or they die" thing is a myth. the thing is some parent's don't like it when they SEE you handling their young.

  • So sweet :)

  • how do you know if oyur lovebird is a girl or a boy? can you show a video of the difference?

  • how do u now if the lovebirds are getting eggs (i know this is mostly a dumb question)

  • hi i have a lovebird exactly like that what breed of lovebird is it?

  • it is a dutch blue love bird

  • Nope she is a medium seagreen pf lovebird, and it's not a breed but a mutation.

  • that's adorable!!

  • ";i Have OnE QueSTioN";

    ";Can I ToUcH ThE pArAkEeTs Eggs?";

    ";If I ToUch It DoeS The EgGs WiLL NoT FerTiLe? iT MEANs The EGGS Is DIe.,.,";

    ";Im WoRrIeD";

    ";Is That tRuE";

    ";PlEAsE RePlY I'LL WaIt FoR YoUr RePly";

  • You can but dont let the parents see;)

  • chaelaun, the answer is no! I am not a pro but I've had parakeets for a VERY long time and I've handled eggs so I have experience. You touching the eggs doesn't affect it. It depends on the parents on the exsistance of the baby. When they hatch THEN you should not touch it because you leave a scent on them and that's a no-no. I don't mean that you should play with it. Don't harrase the eggs or the babys. Touch it ONLY when neccesary. Hope this helps

  • Birds have the same scent of smell as us. The parents smelling our scent and then abandoning the eggs is a myth. If they did abandon the eggs after you touched them, it is because they are avoiding the predator (you) intruding their nest.

  • Shes such a beautiful bird<3

    I have a question,

my lovebirds layed eggs and there going

to hatch in a week and a half i was wondering how many cc's i would feed a one day old baby lovebird? only if she doesnt feed them.

    :]

  • Please go to our blog trueloveaviarydotblogspotdotcom for all your answers.

  • Thank you so much!!!

    :]

  • I am a breeder and also a nephew of a breeder and my uncle always say to feed them till they cant eat anymore;)

  • Well, the correct, scientific answer is that parrots eat 10%-15% of their body weight at each feeding and the food and baby should be measured out precisely before every feeding.

  • cute

  • Thats amazing how small the baby is and that the mum can feed it lol its SOOO small

  • That is adorable! that mamma looks just like my lovie!

  • Sweet^^

  • hola como le hiciste para que nacieran?

  • OK ill use proper english. Well im american so why wouldnt I? I have a bird named kiki. I want to become his friend but he keeps biting me. how would i get him to stop doing that?

  • hey some tell me plz my lov bird keeps settin in the nest box. but wen she comes out i look in side cuz she be in there for a long time n wen she. so wen i look in side theres no eggs n she hella fat right now n not loud lik she ues to be. n she comes to me now after a year of not likeing me. but i put new paper in there should i put sumthin else in there? some one plz tell me asap

  • I would actually advise you to take away the nest box and not breed.

    ~Rodney

  • alright then thanks

  • i hav one more to ask.. how can i get my female to lik me more. cuz i had my male longer so me n him we cool we play and all that. y she just looks. but i been tryin wit her but all she wants to do is bite me n all that.

  • When asking questions, please use proper English, or it will be ignored.

    ~Rodney

  • Will the lovebirds take care of the young all by them selves? or do the humans have to take care of them..

im really worried because my lovebirds are fertilized and my family is really busy so we wont have time to take care of the birds. will the birds take care of them them selves?

  • Of course. We let ours raised them also.

  • when do you start feeding them?

  • HOLY CRAP!! i have a dutch lovebird too! now i can picture that as her! OMIGOSH!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    CuTe!

  • She is a medium seagreen.

  • wait...wut? all this time i thought it wuz dutch....(oops to the max)

  • Evee is our DB. The single dark factor throws people off.

    ~Rodney

  • this is beautifal in its own waY

  • i thought moms eat the little ones...plz reply

  • If the moms ate them then there would be no lovebirds.

  • my question is how could you not now that?!?!?

  • some people say that new born baby are ugly thats so not true

  • what do you feed them

  • You've broke my new cuteness metre. The needle

went off the end and broke out the other side!

  • wow cute...i want to hold it and adopt it as a pet..

  • 1-Day-Old lovebird

  • Yes, that is what she is.

  • so did the baby live in the end? i just realized itll be a year old in a few days.

  • Of course, check out our blog! It is Sapphire.

  • love birds breed in open nests?

  • We later moved Mia and her babies in a nest box. We do not recommend this way.

  • you are truly good. it compliments. I like the lovebirds..

You love your birds . Good!

  • impressive

  • What kind of nest is that? & what material did you use?

  • Mia looks like Evee

  • Very good! You are very observant. The difference is that Evee is a Dutch Blue and Mia is a medium Seagreen.

    ~Rodney

  • did the mother laid eggs on that basin? and not in a nestbox?

  • i have 2 pairs of masked lovebirds but in one clutch, when the bbys born the mother was very agressive she kill two bbys when we decided to feed the other two bbys we dont know how many cc's of formula we have to give to the bbys

  • wow how exciting. our birds are about to hatch there 1st batch. im excited to see the process soon!

  • wats your email??

  • trueloveaviary@gmail....

  • AWW I RELLY NEED TIPS ON FEEDING little lovebirds..like these because i have volonteered to feed ome orphaned ones who will die if no one agrees to take them

  • and what should i feed the parent birds?they have eggs now...what's the best food to give?what vegies and fruits to consider giving to them?

  • when should i star to consider that my lovebirds eggs are not going to hatch?

  • how many babys did she have?

  • Mia had four in this clutch:Sapphire, Ruby, Opal, and Pearl (our jewel babies.)

  • Ohh, hand-feeding day old babies is such a precise science and art... One must have such steady hands, such a keen eye, such an open heart and TONS OF PATIENCE. Parent birds are the perfect brooder, the perfect feeding utensil, and equipped with the perfect formula at the perfect temperature and consistency. They also can socialize the babies and watch them all the time as they keep them warm, which is something we can't do all the time. Nothing can compare to a parent bird! Beautiful video.

  • That is so cute!!!When you started breeding lovebirds did you let the parents care for the first few clutches or did you start straight away with hand feeding?

  • We let the parents raise them for 2 weeks and then we handfeed. That's how we've always done it! =)

  • i checked out your site... what kind of lovebird is bebe

  • He is a blue pied peach-faced lovebird.

  • That is the sweetest thing I have ever seen! It brought back alot of "mommy" feelings, from when I had each of my 2 children (human variety! LOL) Just the tenderness of Mia, and the complete helplessness of the baby.

  • beautiful film! love!

  • Awwl I remember sapphire from your other videos!

  • omg what a cute babY! when my lovebirds leayed eggs they layed it in there green house where they sleep so we couldnt really see the baby because the mom was really protective

  • Oh cool

  • You should call him or her miracle!

  • We thought about that too! But it didn't work for our theme: Jewel Baby. His name is Sapphire now!

  • Your birdie looks so much like my bird(see my vid.)

  • btw how is this baby doing now?

  • He is doing great!!! He weighed in at 43 grams today. Check out the pictures I posted today on our blog!

  • Now thats some good parenting :D

  • omg i can't belive how small the little guy is

  • im so very inspired to your video.. what was that mom bird feed to baby bird? it look like a green vegetables leaves? or bird seed?

  • i started feeding my lovebirds nutri berries

and so far one of my bird likes it and my other bird is still staring at the food lolz but it will start eating it soon i hope, one of them r really picky eater =)

  • great!

  • and i luv the rules of the lovebird if u drop it its mine lolz it sounds like my 2 lovebirds lolz always so defenceful abt their toys

  • thx 4 the info

  • was that the first baby to hatch i see other eggs in the vid and when do u start hand feeding the babies?

  • That was the first baby to hatch. We have another one today. We will pull these babies to handfeed when the oldest is around 14 days depending on how many hatch (ie. if 4 were to hatch, we would pull them all when the oldest is 16 days).

  • This is such an awsome clip for me to watch. You had great timing in catching this. Being able to see in great detail , up close. I am happy to see your little miracle is doing great. I want to say thank you , and keep up the good work. You have helped me by sharing all of your videos and your blog( and my lovies thank you lots).

  • Very glad your miracle baby is doing all right. :)

  • hahaa, may i ask,is ur hse filled with balls banging the cages and non-stop happy chriping? =D

  • absolutely! and we love it! =)
