This mansion has a realy spooky presentation ,the only problem its that the animatronics are in the real atraction, and there is no ghost proyection effect like the other mansions

yeah the projection effect its what many know as "pepper ghost", its an old effect created by magicians decades ago even before disneyland existed, the trick is based on big spot of ligth hit the a character trough a glass, the light reflect the image trougth the glass then the proyection pass but upside down, then there is another glass inclinated to project to the wished point but this time the image gets its original position

but the france mansion doesnt use so much this effect because almost the mayority of animatronics are in the real floor of the atraction where the doom boggies ride. In the other versions, the animatronics are hidden upside another floor (in fact the people in the ride are really in an almost subterraneal floor, the buildings that you see are for the animatronics) in that floor the pepper ghost effect is used.

Phantom manor looks much creepier than haunted mansion from the outside, I've only been on Phantom manor, but I've seen the video for Haunted mansion, they are very simmular rides, the music is slightly different, phantom manor is more creepier! I love this ride! Space mountain, Aerosmith, and Indiana Jones were grea! but this ride is special to me!

It's a different actress and a different take on the whole concept. This one is supposed to be more macabre and probably plays some sort of sinister role in the whole plot...

But I agree, doesn't hold a candle to Leota Toombs and Eleanor Audley.

I feel like such a spoilsport, but I don't like Vincent Price's voice in this... I suppose I'm just used to our beloved Haunted Mansion ghost host. I love the rest of the ride, though! It's so elegant, and the music is almost better than the Haunted Mansion music. They're very different styles (for the majority), and they're each executed so well. <3

the groom isn't meant to be scary, he was murdered, if they made his voice scary, it would make it pointless, and make people question the back story. I don't think they use it anymore anyway. And i seem to recall that when you're actually on the ride, in the dark, his voice seems slightly creepier.

wen i was there last summer, the ride broke down and wenn we were in the portrait gallery, we waited about 20 minutes, then the cast-members let us out by an emergency exit. we all got fastpasses for big thunder mountain. very nice vid! 5/5!

Well there issn't a official story yet about Phantom Manor. The only story there is actually that there was an earthquake before the wedding (phantom canyon) and that the wedding was cursed by something of an indian curse. Search the internet there are a few story's about phantom manor you can find :)
