  • the poking really hurts.. at least for me it does..

  • ow my hedgie poked me

  • hes so angry :3

  • ITS SO CUTE. O M F G.

  • hes like "i hateu"

    then "ooh sunlight"

    then "dam hes here.."

  • neeew

  • i just keep wondering how fast it is...

  • STFU about Sonic in these videos!

  • Are you guys serious?! Mine bites me ALL the time! I have to constantly make sure he can't get to my fingers or any loose piece of clothing because he will bite anything he can get a hold of. I have a gouge on my finger from where the little tit Bit me last night! And it HURTS. He's such brat but I love him anyway :p you just have to be prepared to have a pet that isn't generally loving that won't seek attention, other than that I think they are so cute so i don't mind all the bites and prickle

  • awwwwww

  • aren't they supposed to be blue? haha jk

  • do the spines hurt a lot?

  • what's the hedgehog's name?

  • I WOULD KILL TO HAVE ONE

IT'S LIKE A LITTLE FLUFF BALL! aww

  • So cute!!!!

  • Ёлка!!

  • I like how it curls up in a ball.

  • nice hedgehog!!

  • It's funny when they are grumpy

  • Looks like mine

  • Where do you get hedgehogs for pets?

  • wow i want one lol il name it spikey the hedgehog

  • so spiky lol

  • Do hedgehogs bite you when you first get them like when you get a hamster because they don't know your not trying to eat them. Please reply.

  • It definitely depends on the hedgehog, mine didn't bite at all the day i got him, and never bit me a day after that, he DID stay curled up in a ball 90% of the time until he was used to me. If you get a hedgehog as a baby, they're more likely to warm up to you faster, and less likely to bite. I miss my boy, he recently passed away :(

  • Thanks and I'm sorry about your baby boy.

  • No they usually don't bite. They just puff out their spikes and huff. It really just kinda pricks not really hurt too bad.

  • Mine didn't. they don't tend to bite. She bit me once cause she thought i had food, but it didn't hurt at all. :)

  • so cute:)

  • it has a sniffy sniffer!!!! X3 soo cute!!!!! X3

  • Give me back my son.

  • Not so much pissed off as scared I think!

  • AMAJ GAWD ITS SHADOW! x3 poor, pissed of, a hedgehog.. just like shadow! lol

  • my goddnes so cute:) when he put up his small nose:D

  • do they bite?

  • @x3dontknowxoxo2 they realy dont that much but if theydo it hurts they have been able to kill snakes

  • Oh he is thery beuatiful

  • uh-oh, watch out he might jump on you and kill you.

  • Awh, he's so cute.

A little rotted, but still cute. :3

  • does it hurt? to hold one? someone tell me

  • no its like holding a brush

  • theyre not porcupines dude

  • yes, same family. google it.

  • Nope they're not in the same family. Porcupines are rodents. Hedgehogs are not.

  • 0:14

Sonic was getting ready to spindash

    :D

  • haha n1 :E

  • Where's Knuckles and Tails?

  • fuck

  • when hedgehogs are mad they make clicking noises. i think he is just scared

  • Wow, Youtube just starred out one of the words in my first comment. That's pathetic...they'll feature horror movies with violence and nudity, yet they'll censor a commonly used word. The hypocrisy is incredible. F U C K you Youtube!

  • While I'm no hedgehog expert, this one seems more nervous than pissed off.

  • true, its sad that the owner can't even tell the difference... that thing looks scared shitless

  • its so cute i want one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • He's not pissed, he's scared. You have to let him get to know you and the surroundings first.

  • where do u get hedgehogs>? i want one

  • local breeders.

  • now all you need to find is knuckles the echidna lol XD

  • lol dude i didnt noe u van have as pets tooo!!!!!!!!cool

  • Well its probably pissed because it wants to be left alone <.<

  • When purchasing a new hedge hog it is very important to handle them daily so that they gain trust in you and become good pets instead of grumpy hermits.

  • You found sonic

  • Ежик))

  • lol ;]

  • u commented me like a month ago "how old were my hedgehogs when they died?" well about four years old. i guess . but one died from a sickness on Easter in 2008. and another died last November =[ it had a tumor on her cheek .

  • lol So cute!!

  • i just got a new hedgehog his name is gary. he was nevouse at first but hes coming around

  • i feel sad for u fukkitsag

  • why is he pissed? You seem to be handling him very gently? what was wrong with him?

  • he's not used to his environment yet. New hedgies do that.

  • are those quills it's covered in?

  • of course, duh! hedgehogs and porcupines have quills to defend themsleves. they roll up in a ball and raise their spikes to stop predators from eating them!

  • hedgeshogs roll in a ball for fun some times hedgehogs quills feel like a neddle unlike porcupines hurt worse

  • does it hurt when you pick them up?

  • why are hedgehogs illegal?

  • only in like 4 states like cali main and i dont know the other 2 or 3 but they are llegal in a lot of places

  • i would name it emily or prickles

  • i used to have two hedgehogs

=[ but they got sick last year and went to heaven =[ i miss them both . they r so adorablee

  • how old were they when they die??

  • i love hedgehogs som much!

  • Give it some golden rings. It will be happy again.

  • @NJMIgnatio give it any ring, and it will still be the same , so you gave it something it likes

  • @jianfongyaw u did realize it was a Sonic joke,right?

  • @shadicthewerehog yes. if you meet a hedgehog, what would it do if you give it a sonic doll?

  • you can have a hedgehog as a pet im planing on getting one

  • i love it but can i have it as a pet?

  • in some places they are illegal

  • xD wlel if u live in california you cant X_X its illegal here ;~:

  • WHY??? Why is it illegal to have it here???

  • why not go to a state where you can buy one and just drive it back? :) that's what id do. They made some pond plants illegal that i use to grow and that's not stopped me from getting them every spring :)

  • why is like every animal in california illegal, lol

  • Dunno :/ Lol ferrets are illegal 2 ;~~: -needs the hedgehog -crys- DD: i should move to like new zealend for them LOL

  • My friend joked about it before, and I quote "Maybe idiots would use them as weapons, death by prickly death..." it does suck that you can't own hedgehogs in california :(

  • i want one, but they are illegal here. why? i have no clue.

  • weapon... haha! throw the hedgehog...

  • Same. Sucks, don't it?

  • more like a roly polly hog

  • its pissed because its new and think the owners going to hurt him, dumbass

  • yes you can the hedgehogs dont prick you unless they feal frightned or threatend. so if they do give a grunt or what ever they are just grunting unless they are scared when they grunt it thrusts the spikes up and making it painful to pet. peting hedgis is like plastic carpet when they are not scared

  • TO ANYONE WHO HAS A HEDGEHOG... can you even hold a hedgehog like this guy does at :33?

  • i have a hedgehog and what i usually do is i hold mine in one hand but i have it against my chest

  • yeah you get used to the quills after about a month

  • wow, i studied hedgehogs and knew they curl up in a ball like that, but never seen one :D

  • He looks scared hopefull that is just since he is in a new place

  • He's so cute! Where'd you get him? And I heard from someone that they file the quills or prickly things (sorry, forgot the words) down or something so they're not as sharp as they normally would be. Does anyone know if this is true?

  • Some people might do that, but I've never heard of it. I have a hedgehog and I handle him without doing anything to his quills. If they're not upset, the sharp tips don't touch you, so it doesn't matter.

  • I have had some wild hedgehogs living underneath my house, and they became quite frendly. I gave them catfood to eat, and after a while, they even came climbing up into my lap when I came with the food. The quills where not that sharp.

  • what do you mean when they're not upset the sharp tips dont touch you? what is different about their quills when they're upset?

  • You know how when a cat is upset, its fur gets all fluffy and the hairs stand straight up on it's back? Well hedgehog quills are just a special type of thick, hard hair. It's lik a sewing needle, sharp at the tip but smooth on the sides. When hedgehogs are upset they stick their quills up so they stick into you, but if they're calm the quills lay flat and you can pet them from head to tail without getting hurt.

  • Yeah. That's true. They can become really soft. I REALLY want a hedgehog.

  • theres sooooooo cute!!!!

  • That's adorable :3

  • sonic! can he roll and kill thing 2?i need to know!!!

  • it's shadow!

  • does that really hurt?

  • It sounds like it's sneezing! That's adorable!

    Why do they do that?

  • they do that when they'r angry

  • nope

  • They do that when they're scared. They aren't aggressive or angry animals.

  • yes they do that when they're scared TOO

they do that when they're angry too

  • what a cutie, i want to poke its pointy little nose

  • can u get them in canada?

  • Man, I didn't realize they could curl up so tightly. Cool!

  • Hedgehogs are actually becoming popular pets nowadays, so get used to seeing them become sold in pet stores near you (in certain states where they are not illegal of course).

In my opinion if there is any animal that should not be a pet, it is a boa constrictor or other large reptiles like that. Or those large parrot birds that can bite of a finger.

  • It's Sonic!

  • U shudnt get hedghogs as pets!! Even tho they r cute!

  • Not wild ones you find on your porch, of course not, but there are hedgehogs bred to be adorable and loving pets! Also, not for the very young (3-8) or the very old (80+) because of weak immune systems and a few diseases on hedgehog spines that could be transmitted via punctured skin.

  • Who r u, a hedgehog sales person, wot the hell, well i saw this programm and it had this affrican hedgehog on and he ad to live in a tiny cage for the rest of its life! Thats not very gud is it

  • african hedgehogs for example .. u can have them as a pet -.-

  • my hedgehog is luna its the coolest littile thing. i got it at a flea market for 150 dollars. it came with food to

  • you shouldn't do that, they are meant to live in the wild

  • Couldn't that be said about any and every kind of pet?

  • Nope. Actually dogs as we know them as pets were never in the wild. They were bred from animals that were wild into domestic pets. Mostly all domesticated dog breeds wouldn't survive in the wild.

  • You can get Hedgehogs as pets.

They can range from 120$ to 350$.

    Hedgehogs don't shoot their quills.

I have one name Harry Potter.

  • wow realy?i want one but my shihtzus might hurt it.

  • its probably more likely to hurt your shihtzus...most animals leave them alone...their defense instinct is to curl up, making them very unpleasant for other animals to bother....I doubt you'd have any problems...I never did with any of my cats or dogs...

  • if you itroduce your hedgehog right the hedgie will poke the dog and the dog will nolonger mess with it

i got my hedgie for $100

  • its like me in the morning

  • how much does an hedegehog cost?

  • not too much

  • i got mine for $100

but they can go up to $300

  • well, i definitely kno they arent banned in Vancouver, Canada. I was just at Pet Cetera and they had one there, hence that's what made me look on youtube for hedgehog videos. I M obssesed with Hedgies now!

  • I wish I had one.

  • could you get hedge hogs as pets?

  • yep

  • I want one. I'mma name it Sonic or something.

  • Hey, you can't do it, my hedgie got that name already

  • look at sonic lol

  • Cutest. Hedgehog. Ever.

  • When my hedgehog was shedding if was doing its little leave me alone thing and one shot out at me lol! I hope to have a vid on mine soon!!

  • Hedgehogs don't shoot their quills.

  • I know but, when she was shedding her quills one flew out when she went into her ball like how the hedgehog in this clip was

  • lol, sleepy huh?

  • do you get poked by the spikes went your holding him? it seems like a very odd pet.

  • ive had one before they are the cutest little pets with such personality, but their spikes really dont hurt that much, occasionally they fall out, and you can poke your skin with it, it *could* draw blood but it would be jsut as likely to break. but because there are so many of them the (not even a pound) of hedgehog weight is evenly dustributed so, no :D it actually really doesnt hurt :) theyre a little pricey, but such good and cute pets! they normally stop 'balling up' when you hold them more

  • I Want one since im moving I live in Calgary

  • i dont think hes "pissed off" more like scared.

  • I liked seeing that hedgehog curl into a ball!

  • man if that thing could talk he will say fuck off you fucken moron

  • Yeah, to you certanly.

  • go and learn how to write proper english first you motherfucking asshole.

  • Yaeh, shure, forr ju I'lll cirtainli am coming fomr too taech maiself proprrer engllish...

Sure thing, why don't you stop beeing four-year-old bitch and go jerk off, huh? Self esteem missing net jerking ass.

Love and kisses from Central Europe dick.

  • a little annoyed, maybe, but not really pissed.

  • he's so cute when he's napping (i don't think they are legal in farbault minnesota either) i wish i could have one as a pet.

  • they are. the places that arent legal:

    Virginia

    Ohio

    NY

    NJ

    Vermont and California

i'll find out more. since my cuzin owns a hedgie and we need to learn hw to take care

  • :O nooooo! I want one. but i live in cali. -_-

  • Dang it!! Ohio...

  • depends where, cuz its mostly in norther ohio.

  • Oh... Well, I live in N/E Ohio. It most likely is banned... I probably wouldn't be able to get one anyway, I don't think my parents would let me. I'm wondering, though, if Echidnas are legal... I'd rather have one of those, but I can't find anything specifically about them.

  • Sadly, they're illegal in the US alone. they cant be pets. if they were, it be cool, but they are bigger than hedgies and are tougher to deal with. well heres some info:

echidnas lay eggs and babies are called puggles.

echidnas are found in australia and indonesia

    ....

and i forgot the rest. i will getcha more info soon.

  • Not true, Hedgehogs aren't illegal in ALL U.S. states. With any exotic pet you need to check with your state and area you live in to make sure the exotic pet is allowed.

  • its sooo cuuttee i luv hedgehogs

  • Can you train a Hedgehog to pee and poop on the newspaper?

  • where can u get them in england
