  • What is the power of each laser? the percent is 30% red, 59% green and 11% blue? Nice prototype! ;) the AOM work verry well for modulation..

  • I'm a noob so please excuse my ignorance, but from what I understand, a Beamer shoots individual lasers onto the screen as opposed to a regular projector which projects an image of whatever is being input? @.@

  • @desolat3 Yes. And it projects the laser beams pretty much like a cathode ray tube would do with the electron beams.

The trick faced for now is horizontal axis movement witch must be very fast and light can't be bent like electron beams. So there must be moving mirrors to sweep the beams on the screen.

  • for those who are interested in the videos backround music. the song "die gedanken sind frei" is performed by the fantastic german acappella group maybebop.

  • der beamer ist zwar auch ziemlich geil, nur im moment bin ich an der Hintergrundmusik interessiert. Ich finde leider nichts dazu, kannst du mir sagen, welche Version hier gesungen wird?

  • shit../.imagine 10 yrs from now we will have realy bright tvs lol and vary crisp contrast

  • Hello, im also curious about the projector you got there, is it running RGB or RGV laser configuration? nice version of die gedanken sind frei by the way, who plays it?

  • And when I think about that I used to dream and draw my vacuum tube - horizontal drum mirrors, monochrome laser projector ideas, just as a inner challenge, and now to find people that made it simpler... ;))

    Fantastic!

Now, fixing that 3D issues with the laser projectors remains to be done and I can finally scrap my 29" CRT tv and order my very own laser tv from you. :D

    A.S.A.P. please.

    Just joking, this is great!

  • A real possibility of planar semiconductor laser technology now.

Does not require a ultrafine videomatrix like used in current LCD/TFT beamers

since the image is projected directly through a laser beam system line by line.

(Similar technology like already used laser printers).

  • very good !

    What scanner are used?

  • @laserfull We're using a ordinary galvo scanner from Cambridge Technology. The tricky part of the system is the scanner doing the horizontal deflexion. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to tell more about this scanner at the moment - sorry!
