I personally do not see this that way. I believe there will be such thing as perfect materialism. Buying for the sake of using, making for the sake of buying.

If profit is made, it must be used for the sake of buying again. No excessive savings ever again, no high-risk products for excessive profits. No protectionism, no excessive rule-making for the sake of keeping government officials at work, spending taxes. That would save a lot.
