Strict Parents is a good programme, but I hate how they give you a sort of subliminal messages at the beginning - kids behave that way, because their parents left them when they were young, etcetera. = it's all faulty, kill the parents! Just because you're weak minded and can't handle yourself and your possibility, it doesn't always make you a victim. (Not the case everyone, mind that, I never said that.)

@Greycatte Kids behaviour is usually a result of their upbringing. Teenagers raised without their fathers are disproportionately represented in crime, the unemployed and all antisocial behaviour. It is all correlated. And yes, of course children are weak minded, so being raised in a broken home is going to give them all kinds of problems.

@OhMaDayzz I agree with you completely. Those two are strongly correlated and the behaviour is mostly the result of the parenting issues. Maybe I should just clarify the thing I want to say: In this programme, it is portrayed as the most evil thing to do - separate. It's just some people can avoid being in such a state of mind, like this guy, still with a parent issue in their lives, and a divorce doesn't do much or none harm.

@Greycatte But at the beginning of this programme this guy's father says how he walked out on the family for the first few years of this guys life. So he was raised by his mother, then his dad came into his life a few years later. Similarly the girl in this programme first met her dad when she was a teenager where she would see him once a week, and then gradually he couldn't be bothered to meet up with her anymore and they never talk. I think this all effects their behaviour.

@Greycatte Look in this country the family life has virtually been destroyed. Of course British youths are idiots, but the parents are no matter when they go around sleeping with everybody they see and raising children without fathers, or fathers running away from their responsibility. Not many western countries have as many social problems as we do, and none of them have as much of a problem as us in terms of the breakdown of family life. This country is going down the gutter.

I have stretched ear lobes (not as big as that and I stopped stretching them a while ago) but I'm not sure how that is any more disgusting than fake tan, extensions and plastic surgery. Granted it doesn't suit him as an individual and he clearly has an attitude problem but stretched ears can look great on the right person...
