I met you a few years ago when you were pulling for Carretta, i believe it was on the Pa. turnpike at Breezewood back around 1990 or so. Glad to see the old girl is looking sharp.
The truck's still looking good Hank. The KWs just last and last provided you look after them. Mine's one year older than yours and still doing heavy interstate work.
When the economy picks up a bit I'm sure you'll get work, just things are quiet now everywhere.
I probably could drive, but NO one want to give me a chance.
I had succesful back surgery, but the back surgery gave me a very bad infection in my artificial hip and need more surgery and some very strong meds, and before I could get back to work, the artificial hip that they tried to save, fail and snapped off, metal fatiqe, they claim. The doctor from the back surgery, never said I couldn't drive any more, just that no more loading and unloading. Now all I get from trucking cos, is excuses.
I actually don't live too far away from Monticello, so I'll do everything I can to make it to the show. Even if I can't, I'll be there in spirit! Remember, I'm not as closed minded as these big fleets, and I'd work for YOU if I had a CDL. I wish Big Hank a happy birthday. 28 years and he looks better now than it did new! But I'll bet there were few more beautiful sights to you than the Hilton at the dealer back in '81. God bless you, Big Hank, and Bear too, of course!
Hi Joe. Thank for your nice comment. Hopefully we can celebrate "Big Hank's" big 3-0 at some far-away place, which would mean we were both back on the road.
I'd love to drive it again. If I get the promised help I need to help me get the siezed brakes to release, I'll be going to a local show with it on August 2nd. If that works out, you know I'll be posting pics and videos. For anything further away, i need work for me and my truck or a show sponsor. I can't afford much in disability.
hank would love to see this truck on the road working again got any plans????
