  • How about the Modified V neck, did it take long to get used to that neck? I don't quite have the amt. needed for the HD-28V so I'm thinking I still can't go wrong with a HD-28 could I? Martins Low Profile neck is that more like a C-shape on an Electric guitar? Never had an acoustic before but played a bunch of Martins at GC and the HD-28 stood out to me. Sounded much better than the Performing Artist Series I played.

  • Having got a D-28 and its 12 string cousin I can completely identify with your enthusiasm - they just make a body feel good even when you just look at them.

Playing is just an absolute bonus!

    Does it for me.

  • Good playing Country! I want one.

  • as soon as he started playing i yelled NO cause he just raped the guitar...

  • Now imagine how good it would sound if he had some brand new marquis strings on it...

  • I think it's awesome that you recorded that moment for everyone. Any guitarist can relate to the feelings you were experiencing and it was cool to see how psyched you were! Still in love with it? My HD-35 sits a bit more than it should. I think I'll bust it out thanks to you...

  • haha, dont you just love this guitaR?!

    true cannon, no doubt.

  • Hi thanks for your fabulous demo.. would you think it sounds the same as the D41special wich has the same formward shifter "x" and scaloped braces ?

I'v got to wait three months to have yours while the d41 special is in the shop.. i dont even know if I order the same as yours if it will sound as good as yours.. thanks :-)

  • @smartti1970 They both are awesome either way you cant go wrong really but I DO like the HD 28 v a lot !

  • @awesomesix thanks very much for your reply. My only concern is when they get to bright. I wander how consistent the guitars are.. I think i'm gonna have to wait 3months for the Hd28v :-) by then it will be my birthday.. the looks of the D41 is a little to bling but I do hope the sound of th Hd28v will be the same. happy music to you..

  • @smartti1970 Cool ! The Martins are really consistent !

  • It's hard to over-drive a martin!, but i think the "Jackhammering" Johnny just gave it

caused all that rich tone to run for the hills.

  • reissue of 1940's d28.

  • I just got my hd28 Its killer has lots of bass. One of best acoustic made.

  • best guitar ever made hands down!

  • sounds like an Aria

  • hahahhah

    i understand your smile man...

    lovely and unic sound...

i got a d41 and it never stops catching me

    peace and rock

    claudio

  • 1:33...yeah it's very loud and it's even louder when you jackhammer the fuck out of the strings like that! haha. Anyway, I'm getting one

  • Just ordered one last week.. I can't wait till it comes in! Thanks the info on this bad boy. I keep coming back for my fix! :-)

  • I'm going guitar shopping tomorrow. I hope I find something that gets me as excited as this guy is. Congrats man.

  • Good luck on your guitar search ! martin is the best especially with their repair and also with their consistency in a great guitar sound !

  • I don't think they still used forward scalloped bracing in the 50's and 60's.

  • your right my mistake ? It was 30's - 40's .

  • I have one myself, the best guitar in the world

  • The D-18 is warm and the top end is different for sure ! I allmost went for that instead ! I liked the chime of the top end of the East Indian Rosewood back and sides !

  • I'm really happy to see you expanding your horizons going forward with the acoustic and a new band.

    I knew you'd get Martin fever after playing John K's '34 00-42 :-)

  • I am so blest man ! I thought it would be so cool to record my first licks on this guitar for to share with everyone who knows me and loves great guitars and picking !

  • Nasty licks on that Martin!

  • Congratulations, man! Can't think of anyone better for this to happen to! Can't wait to hear it in person!

  • How much do they cost?

  • This model goes for 4199.00 but I saw them online for 3199.00

  • I just watched your other video, I didn't know you got endorsed! Man, that is great!

  • Yeah your right about that ! I feel so blest indeed , Martin as I have said before in times past and if you read my about me on the home page of awesomesix , I said I would be glad to endorse their fine products if they wanted me too ! Well I guess they must have heard me ! Right on Martin your guitars rule ! Nothing beats the martin for bluegrass or flatpicking

  • Play it!! yesss!!! congrats!
