  • I would love to know what kind of nonstick pan he uses that he can use metal utensils and it still stay pristine... really, I'd love to know

  • @Jakathera He's using cuisinart. He gets them for free, so I don't think he cares. Not sure it's recommended though!

  • All of that "fresh" crap that Ramsay talks about is ridiculous. He himself doesn't even use "fresh" food items all of the time. Frozen vegetables, pre made terrines, par-cooked risottos, dried pasta, frozen and thawed meat and fish, dried spices and herbs. Those are hardly "fresh" according to his "standards". The most important thing about being a "chef" is being able to use what you have on hand, and that is exactly what Jack Seed does; and phenomanally well at that!! Blessings to Pepin

  • Let's pardon him the precooked gnocchi omelette.

  • 15:42 small detail.... is what America needs

  • The mustard greens and chorizo looks quit delicous. You can mix with some gated Cheese and serve it with cooked noodels.

  • Chef Pepin is such a classy man, and I can understand the man's English perfectly.

  • Who can dislike this master???? Dish water ass!

  • Die Wurst mit den Senfkohl könnte man auch mit Nudel servieren. Dann könnte noch etwas geieben Käse untermischen.

  • Good idea not use the anchovie oil to fry the steaks and to add some extra anchovies.Gives the meat a speial flavor.

  • Chateau Sink hahahaha!

  • He's amazing, and this is one of my favorite episodes, but I did notice that he actually put chives on top of the gnocchi-not scallions like he said.

  • @MDCeasar actually those are scallions...chives are much smaller and thinner. It's easy to get them all confused though :-)

  • @cris8472 Yes I know exactly what each tastes and looks like, but those are most definitely chives he garnished the gnocchi with =o) Look again.

  • @MDCeasar AH You meant the garnish...sorry I thought you mean the scallions he put in the gnocchi when he was cooking...I apologize

  • @cris8472 No need to apologize, I had forgotten he put scallions in them! I've had a package of gnocchi in the cupboard for months planning this recipe, but haven't gotten around to it! =oP

  • I like his programme! I really learned a lot. But suggest that improve English a bit, cus hmm, English is not my mother tough~

  • @wangtututu I can understand everything he says...you can't?

  • Jaques is the real deal mate.

  • Did he just call water "Chateau Sink?" LOL! Jacques is the man.

  • @ajg254 lol in other episodes he calls it Chateau Faucet

  • @ajg254

A very common joke in France. Water is often called "Chateau La Pompe" to give it false wine "prestige"... :-)

  • He touches raw steak then grabs the greens and sticks them in! I know its probably fine but lord god he's breaking cardinal rules there!!!

  • @gunnerglory it is fine since the greens are cooked the bacteria on them would die just like on the steaks

  • @gunnerglory It used to freak me out too, but when you think about it, anything that is cooked over high heat or boiled reaches a temperature which will kill all bacteria present. I still wash my hands more, but he's in a hurry =oP

  • @MDCeasar I guess yeah, you guys are right

  • He is the best

  • Certainly good if you pamper pets, I once made boeuf bourguignon for us and our Rottweiler, to die for, out of "Jacques and Julia".Certainly your sarcasm has fallen on deaf ears, Mr. Duvar.

  • @bobduvar Why can't you give this meal to your pet? Isn't the alcohol in the wine cooked out by the time this dish is served? So then wouldn't it be OK for pets? LOL criminal...I've let my dogs TASTE beer before...no harm was ever done there either...Maybe you need to relax, have some wine yourself perhaps. Cheers:)

  • Everything he cooks just WORKS. I have done many dishes. My friends that I fed think IM the best. I dont tell them I Jaques! LOL

  • What amazes me is that nothing is prepped, like things are on other cooking shows. He can cook a starter, main and pudding in less than 30 minutes. Damn, he's good!

  • @gateboyatlivedotcom This cat's the real deal.

  • @gateboyatlivedotcom Of course this show is about practicality and using things most people have in their pantry to make a delicious and elegant meal. The only "fresh" items are used in the main course.

  • Where can I find the written recipe for the Chestnut Cream Mont-Blanc. Im looking for measurements etc to print out and make. Thank you.

  • the gnocchi recipe looks yummy!

  • SOOOOO glad to find this episode and I thank you for posting it. I'm a huge fan :D and my mouth is already watering. I'll be making every single one of these recipes. Thanks again.
