@vpk01 is seattle they used two barco FLM HD20 large venue projectors.  20,000 lumens of 1080p quality video a piece. Barco is the leader in the game when it comes to this kind of work, we use the same model at Seattle Opera, but we have 6 projectors and 6 indpt media servors to handle content ran thru green hippo's "zookeeper" software. for this they used "touch designer" by derivative. the staging was simple, the but content was mindblowing for live show!

@MrKingpeng the mapping was also simple, handled by software running 3d animations, as well as multiple layers of video and data from input devices like the live camera feed of him and the touch surface he played with, mixing live media with prestaged elements was the hard part. in this show, their projectors were stacked right on top of each other, projecting from the "front of house" position in most theatres. Straight on from center with 3d animation mapped to set...brilliant!

I am so, so glad I had the chance to be able to see this show. It was beautiful. I feel like the entire thing goes beyond a lot of music genres. I never really listened to Amon Tobin before the show, but decided after seeing this trailer that it would be a cool thing to go see. Man, what an understatement! If you have the money and the inclination (and it's not already sold out) do yourself a favor and buy a ticket RIGHT NOW and go!

Interesting indeed! All that amazing electronic eye-candy with that shallow, annoying fake music! We did cheap, minimalist versions of this in our SF happenings in 1960s and had fun. But this is just a display of very flashy and brilliant visual stuff (on a serious case of too much speed). Hoping that somehow this group of creators can be given something of real value to work with.

I saw this at the Roundhouse too and it really was breathtaking, I have never seen such an epic display of visuals and sound...Amon Tobin has set an extemely high bar for live electronic music. I'd like to see Flying Lotus do something similar.
