  • - is it me or does Costner just naturally fit roles in movies that involve baseball?

  • Kevin Costner should be in the baseball movie hall of fame

  • @FightinIrish05 He ought to be in the baseball hall of fame period for baseball cinematics. I mean if the Boxing hall of fame could do it for Sylvestor Stallone for "Rocky", I dont see why Cooperstown couldn't do the same thing.

  • Two dislikes are Yankee fans

  • Sam Tuttle disliked this

  • What movie is this?

  • Go get um Tigers. " We don't stink right now- Just Throw". Bring it home Tigers 2011

  • Just throw. Then shake and bake!

  • obvioiusly the only dislike is a yankees fan...

  • i once threw a 5 inning perfect game but it was against children.

  • wow, i didn't realize until right now, that John C. Riely was in the movie

  • it looks like a good movie because the yankees get beat Detroit always beats the yankees

  • "I miss you dad, wish you were still here!"

  • its more awesome cause its against the yankees hahaha

  • You just throw whatever you got, whatever is left.... just don't touch my drumset!

  • I think Vin Scully's performance was the most convincing amongst the cast of this particular movie.

  • i can't take John C. Riley the same after step brothers all i hear is dad thats not enough, what if i want wings!

  • Sam Raimi is the man.

  • His baseball trilogy (this movie included) along with Robin Hood are among my favorite Costner movies

  • Wats this movie

  • @devilman201 for love of the game

  • Costner at his finest. He should just make baseball movies and cowboy movies

  • Vin Scully makes it sound like it really happened, Too bad Al Michaels recreation of the Miracle On Ice sucked

  • this is the only chick flick i own. i bought it for the baseball sequences

  • Goddamn do I love baseball. Not much more I can say. I miss playing it.

  • @GoldeneyePwner Me too, my man.... me too. Greatest game ever invented.

  • This was certainly one of the best parts of the film in my view.

  • Come on Chappy SHAKE AND BAKE

  • he forgot his kiss...

  • "just throw the pitch ya dingus"

  • i just cant take john c reily seriously. everytime he talks i laugh.

  • "We'll back you up, we'll be there..because Billy, we dont stink right now, we're the best team in baseball right now, right this minute cause of you, your the reason"...god I love this scene....amazing!!!

  • Anybody know where the final pitch scene is for this game?

  • I think that she is not afraid of taking chances and she is a woman who knows her own strength. --> - Naked Lady Gaga. C0000M - -

  • Just saw it for my first time today on AMC. Great film.

  • I see myself as a big strong military guy, a warrior but this movie chokes me up and I still dont know why yet.......

  • @cmd11b it's because maybe somewhere, there's a Kelly Preston in your life you'd be a fool to let get away....

  • @fredintr Lets hope so!!!!

  • Makes me feel like a kid again watching this movie!

  • My favorite movie!! "we're going to be awesome for you right now, just throw."

OMG my heart! Kevin Costner makes AWESOME baseball movies!!!!

  • y'know who would have given a better speech to billy chapel? crash davis.

  • I lovr vin scullys narration of the game.he always has a clever antitode ,whenever he makes a reference to something.

  • @jaydee624 I think you mean anecdote, my friend.

  • the catcher kind of looks like the guy from step brothers

  • @hookem794 thats because it is the guy from step brothers. haha

  • @hookem794 it is the guy from step brothers

  • its awesome when he says " Has anybody been on base?"

  • Tiger Fans!!! Don't give up. Looks bad but here is something to help!!!! GOD SPEED!!!!!

  • I love Kevin costner he is just awesome

  • anyone else think this movie is very underrated?

  • @joeguy02 - Agreed. I love this movie, it's outstanding. All 3 Costner movies are in my top 5: Field of Dreams, Bull Durham and For the Love of the Game.

  • @joeguy02 vastly underrated!

  • Can someone post the scene when Burch hit the long ball that Mickey Hart saved from being a homerun? thats one of my favorite parts of the movie.

  • Great scene. I have to chuckle, though, at Reilly's catcher character holding off the umpire @ 1:22. I'm pretty sure that doesn't work in an actual game.

  • @mdumas43073 I agree with you, but if you look closely, he has a finger up sticking out of the glove, in other words to say "one second, im coming" so maybe thats why.

  • por favor sube la pelicula completa seria increible tener esta aportacion disponible en youtube grax

  • My favorite movie of all time. Costner really knows how to perform a baseball film.

  • i agree with "gobears1987"

  • If only Baseball was like this....

  • I LOVE this scene. I guess when you're in your late 40's and you know you've turned the corner.

I miss playing football, I miss the Marines. That feeling knowing others had your back.

Vin Scully's description/narrative earlier in the movie talking about Chapel pitching at the end of the season at his age, him pushing the Sun back up in the sky for one more day of summer...wow. Amazing stuff!

  • @waveslider11 Totally agree. Vin Scully was the best pick for narrator of this game.

  • Bigrob is right. I've watched the movie just to see those two minutes.

  • Wheres the clip when he signs the ball. "Tell them I'm through. For the love of the game."

  • Nothing in sports is as magical as the perfect game.

  • @gobears1987 I am a huge hockey fan as well as a baseball fan, and I have to agree, there is nothing in a single game in any sport that comes close to being in the same sentence as a perfect game. Gus Sinskis speach is awesome as well.

  • @goaliefp I've always considered hockey to be my "1b" sport with baseball being "1a." It's nice to see some hockey fans out here.

  • @gobears1987 I am a season ticket holder for the NY Rangers. I dont go to every game. I prob go to about 5-10 a year. But I grew up on baseball. My father was my coach and I pitched one year in little league. You really grow an appreciation for the game when you play it as a kid.

  • @gobears1987 incorrect sir. hot dogs are as magical as a perfect game, and hot dogs and beer, well fugedabout it.

  • @gobears1987 ya but it pisses me off how they keep talking about it in the movie,..... NEVER TALK ABOUT A PERFECT GAME UNTIL ITS OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @gobears1987 actually game 6 of the 2011 World Series was 10,000,000 more magical than all the perfect games ever.

  • @svvmichael1 You're dumb for saying that....It's not

  • @iChazzMuffin I am absolutely correct for "saying" it. It is a foregone conclusion, and you'd be one of the only idiots to disagree with me. Bye now.

  • @svvmichael1 There have been better games then Game 6. "Idiot" Nolan Ryan's Last No Hitter was much more Magical in my opinion. You have no knowledge of baseball's past for making such an Ignorant Comment

  • @iChazzMuffin I know 10,000 times more baseball than you. Nolan Ryan's last no-hitter was for a bad, forgotten team with nothing on the line. EVERY commentator I've listened to said Game 6 2011 was THE greatest they'd ever seen, and that it's the best EVER. IT WAS THE WORLD SERIES you moron, and comparing a near-meaningless regular season game to a 10-9 DRAMA for ALL THE MARBLES proves you are a fool. If you can't grasp what the World Series is you are a sad, sad, little man.

  • @svvmichael1 You obviously know nothing. You can't even use proper grammar. EVERY commentator hasn't played the game. McCarver and Joe Buck know absolutely nothing and i have no idea why they were given the spot in the WS. They don't understand and neither do you. My father played professionally for 7 years and you claim to know it all. Clearly you are a very ignorant person because if you have read the bible you would know what it says about the word "Fool."

  • @svvmichael1 My reason for saying that Nolan Ryan's last no hitter, if you had any knowledge of the history of baseball you would know that Ryan told his catcher he said "This might be the end" and he throws a no hitter. The emotion going on on that field was immense. Don't get me wrong, Game 6 was a great game but i said in My opinion. Please use common knowledge before trying to

  • @iChazzMuffin You continue to spew ignorance and stupidity. You should stop posting because you make all reader dumber. You are a complete idiot. Now you want to lie and say your dad is a pro baseball player. BTW, who cares. Most pro athletes are dumber than a box of rocks. Any intelligent person knows that a REGULAR SEASON GAME with NO OFFENSE is much LESS meaningful and exciting than THE 6th GAME OF THE DAMN WORLD SERIES. You do not understand baseball if you disagree. Ergo, you do not.

  • @svvmichael1 Perfection is perfection my man, no matter how you slice it. But yes, game 6 would be a (if it is even possible) larger accomplishment.

  • @medcsu A perfect game is a cool thing. But it isn't as big as a division play-off, let alone a World Series game like Game 6.

  • @svvmichael1 Thats what I just said. Perfection is amazing, but doing it in the postseason is even more epic.

  • @medcsu cool

  • this is the best scene of the whole movie...

  • That's a life philosophy in two words, "Just throw." Perfect.

  • i wonder if pitchers are really like that during a perfect game or no hitter

  • Boy, this is such a great scene in this movie...I've seen it many times...gives me goose bumps every time. Costner actually threw all the pitches in the film...he can throw in the mid 80's.

  • @CropDusterMan He should have played baseball because he is a terrible actor.

  • @CropDusterMan This movie is so rad.... my wife busts my balls all the time because basically its a chick flick with a bit of ball...

  • God to actually live that moment! I love basball

  • Thanks for posting this what a great scene!!!
