Great scene. I have to chuckle, though, at Reilly's catcher character holding off the umpire @ 1:22. I'm pretty sure that doesn't work in an actual game.

I LOVE this scene. I guess when you're in your late 40's and you know you've turned the corner.

I miss playing football, I miss the Marines. That feeling knowing others had your back.

Vin Scully's description/narrative earlier in the movie talking about Chapel pitching at the end of the season at his age, him pushing the Sun back up in the sky for one more day of summer...wow. Amazing stuff!

Boy, this is such a great scene in this movie...I've seen it many times...gives me goose bumps every time. Costner actually threw all the pitches in the film...he can throw in the mid 80's.
