So you had to jump through a dozen hoops and deal with a dozen morans at Apple who couldn't help you and were incompetent as well. Then after complaining to the top you get a resolution ..grudgingly from the store. And you say they , "treated you well?". So you buy more apple junk.

If you have your mac plugged in all the time and do not drain the battery from time to time then it will diminish the amount of cycles and lifespan of it.

@chrisdicki You again? haha. Well, I have drained it enough to retain the lifespan. I was actually advised by 3 apple store staff to keep it plugged in at all times after having drained it, and then 3 other staff said not to. Not very consistent, I guess people have different opinions. x

It sounds like you were lied to, over and over again. Not just about the battery and the charger, but about apple care and apple in general. Just for comparison, I have a PC that I take care of, and it's been running without problems for me since 1999. I also have a PC laptop from HP, and it's been running perfectly for me for almost 6 years. It has traveled with me into the forest, the desert, and into the arctic, and is still runs for over 3 hours on the original battery before charging.

Just found out I've done 53 cycles and I've had it a year...so wrong. Glad it worked out.

That's odd, I just looked up how many cycles I've done, and I have nearly 700 but my battery life is still good? Weirddd.

i downloaded Battery Health Monitor and my MacBook, that i bought last March 2008 has only had 6 battery cycles. LOL i keep it plugged in all the time. :) i'm glad you got it all sorted out. i still have to get Snow Leopard!
