  • How many miles can a plug like this last?

  • @pantiara2 It can go pretty far

  • that is not the proper way to repair a tire infact that tire is now ruined plus its bald you should not give that to the customer take the TIA class (tire industry association and learn something

  • @mirza656

With respect to the guy in the video, I think he knows that's a bald tire and he's probably smart enough to not resell it. He's just showing how its done, he's not going to spend $200 for a brand new tire and purposely damage it

  • @npixelvd technique? You call that technique! Ja

  • I did it just like that about a week ago and the damn looks solid somfar, no leakage. Only diff is I used the tube of rubber cement the patch kit came with. The patch material is so gooey I probably didnt need the cement but it did help lubricate the plug for insertion. It works and if you take it to the tire store that's one of the ways they plug them anyways. So why not learn to do it yourself. Someday you will be where there are no stores nearby and that towing cost is gonna hurt.

  • fuck just sell the custumer a use tire atleast, the ur plagin its trash

  • In considering survival along the road, I think this is one of the best solution in order to arrive at the tire store. Thanks for sharing this technique.

  • A bullet hole?

  • @midevil you must be some ignorant black dude

  • @adirtykneegrow I must admit I'am Black and I don't consider myself Intellectually challenged, Judging from your Racist comment I'm assuming you're a poor trailer trash honky who cant dance , smells like garlic is seeping through your pores , makes bombs in his garage as a hobby , regularly indulges in incest with his sister and sniffs his mothers bra's for sexual satisfaction?..Or maybe im wrong.. maybe you're just a youtube geek who doesn't even currently own a vehicle. lmao.

  • @adirtykneegrow P.S....You spelled my user name incorrectly . lol ( and im the ignorant 1 )

  • this is the worst plug I have ever seen.

  • wow why didn't you get that shit replaced .... lazy ass lop

  • Fuk all that..Throw a Donut on and ride yo shit to the nearest shop and get it worked on and u good to go...U fuck around on some rookie shit trying to pull this off and gone end up put 4 or 5 more holes in yo shit.

  • Good job..

  • that's a directional tire. it's mounted on the wheel for the passenger side but came off the drivers side lmao AND he is patching a bald tire. someone is trying to kill the owner of this vehicle hahaha!!

  • LOL! Nice racing slicks...

  • Awesome video man!!!

how long does that plug last? i got a nail in my tire too been there for like 3 years, it just looses air very very slowly.

  • I always wondered how to use these thanks for the video man!!!

  • someone needs a rotation

  • @erwer66 no no you don't understand. he doesn't like chicken,

  • Thanks, guy! Short and sweet. I had one question about the procedure and it was cleared up with your video. Oh, and thanks for showing the procedure wearing gloves... that plug material is a bear to get off the skin.

  • I have a screw and a nail next to each other on my right rear tire.

the Walmart tech, said its cannot be patch, because its too close to each other.

    Is he right?

the tire is not flat, my put air in it and two days now. still not flat.

anyone knows if i should buy new tire.

  • @lazyhorse22 He must be an idiot. as long as its not to close to the sidewall you can patch that. theydo make differant size patches for differant size holes.

  • great video, thanks

  • great video but that tire needs to be replaced. The treads are pretty much toast. Thanks though for the instructions. Very helpful! Two thumbs up.

  • ooops, stupid me had the cc on. My bad.

  • Wassup with all the racism. Ignore these guys. This video would have been cool if I could see it. All the text is blocking everything.

  • dont waste your time fixing a junk tire like that. if you have a flat just take it to your local Discount Tire store and they will fix it for free using a plug and patch. rope plugs tend to leak again down the road and the fix-a-flat liquid junk does nothing to fix the flat and just throws your wheel and tire out of balance and make a mess. just throw your spare on and let them fix it for good for you for FREE.

  • i hope he only used this as a demonstration but the way the vehicle is jacked up tells me otherwise. the tire has no tread at all and it appears to have a major wheel alignment problem on a count of how the tire is worn.smart ppl dont repair their tires this way. the best and safest way is to remove the tire from the rim and use a plug and patch procedure to repair the tire correctly and safely. this comin from someone who is certified by TIA (tire industry association) dont do it that way

  • I applaud this gentleman for taking the time to correctly explain in a simple way how to plug a tire. I searched online until I found his Youtube tutorial on the subject. He explained it so well that I am now confident that I can now go outside and fix the tire on my motorcycle, which I have been puting off because I wasn't sure I could do it right. I ended up watching all of his tutorials because he is really good at explaining the why, what's and how to's in tire fixing of tires gone bad. KDE

  • Good Job

  • ur tire is gone black boy

  • I presume the plug insertion tool is split on the end so you don't pull it back out?

  • so is it better to have some air in the tire as opposed to having it fully flat?

  • Nice Dude!....thanks.

  • good bald tire to show the repair technique. I'd cut the plug a little more flush than that.

  • why you wanna fix that

  • Thanks matey! Very informative.

  • Stupid people he's showing you how to plug a tire, it doesn't have to be a brand new tire . Thanks for the video , some people are just ungrateful !!

  • thanks man!! i just spent $25.00 on a tire repair. Im buying this kit off ebay and now, thanks to your video i can fix my own punctures!!

  • instead of leaving dumb comments, consider the fact that he just got this tire to demonstrate plugging on. after all, why plug a good tire?

  • @counterfeitG0d You are totally right on that one sir BUT on the other hand there is alot of idiots(especially young people with a low income that thinks it´s cool with "slicks" from what i have seen in the tire shop) driving around with tires that looks like that and i can´t say it´s a smart move to do.

Atleast not in traffic anyways.Anyways "expertvillage" is a DIY kind of channel so i agree anyways with what you commented cause some people just watch the video and don´t have a clue.

  • Wow those tires are toast - get new tires dude! Appreciate the info but dam!

  • first of all that doesnt a plug........ its needs to be FUCKING REPLACED HAHAHAH

  • Comment removed

  • i got my tire fixed , just wanted to be sure its the same procedure... thanx a lot im i bit relieved

  • that was the Ghetoist thing i have ever seen in my life....lol hahahhahhah

  • At this point I would just replace the tire, like 10,000 miles ago.

  • @bigdaddyII now thats getto

  • @bigdaddyII~haha!.... ye tell me about it!

  • damn u need some new tires

  • a tire can be repaired after using that garbage green sealant.

Your mechanic will scold you for using it. and will proceed to clean your rim, the inside of your tire and the TPMS sensor.

If you use TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) know that that same green shit will wreck the sensor inside your tire. and those will cost you 20 bucks or more depending on what you own. some are more elaborate than others, they will cost more to replace.

  • LOL a used tire is good in a bind. otherwise buy new. save yourselves a headache.

  • never use fix a flat unless u have to it ruins the rims i work at dicount tire and people dont understand until we show them it eats away at the rim and tires if its in long enough

  • Can a tire be fixed like this after using that green tire sealant?

  • y would you repair that tire there is no tread left on it.

  • to make demo vid

  • as a demonstration obviously, thats probably just a garbage tire he had lying around.

  • @Syritis i think this was just an example, instead of using a new tire, except hes wastin a plug.

  • very helpful...thanks...

  • you should comment on how the tire in the video is unsafe for use on roads of any kind! its bald! go to a junkyard they could probably hook ya up with one for like 10 bucks.

  • never buy used tires, always buy brand spanking new,and also buy the tires that run flat for 50miles,up to 50mph speed,or do what i'm planning on doing,i'm going to get the same tires President Obabama has on his vehicles, bullet proof, and puncture resistant tires, they are very expensive, about $1000 each tire,or a little more

  • y noy buy used tyres ?

  • never buy used tires, dummy, that's like buying used brakes,it's a risk, and the change you save is not worth the quality you receive

  • we always buy tyres from srap yard.

  • at the beging i thought there were drift tires u need new treads

  • you looklike a sprem donor mey!

  • they should have had flat seal

  • i use fix a flat,i have fix a flat in all my tires, because i get flats for some reason, but not anymore.Fix a flat chemical fixes and prevents new flats.I drive 110mph to work almost every night and no tires blew up yet,its been about 4 or 5 months.I hate changing tires,so use fix a flat

  • Fix a flat is good for temporary fixes, but it throws the weight off on your tire., decreasing the tires life versus a patch. You will never be able to rotate those tires again, because of that liquid on the inside.

  • lol I dare you to use it in a car with TPS's in them...

  • shut the fuck up what is TPS,i'll put tps in your ass

  • Its tire pressure sensor. Its on all new cars. Just google it. Go to college, and stop being a steriotype.

  • fix a flats bad. u only wanna use it to get to a store cus it sticks to ur rims and ruins tham. haha ur an idiot

  • hold up,fix a flat works wonderful,i had it in 3 tires,for 6 months,then when i went to get a tire rotation,the mechanics,just cleaned the rims,and tire,with a brush and rag,and a cleaning chemical,then they plugged the tires,then balanced and reinstalled them,so yeah fix a flat works great,butits better to use it for emergency,for a week,then go get the tire plugged

  • what kinda rims do u have? cus when my dad was buying a sports car with hella nice rims they were saying how the fix a flat type things would ruins the rims and performance of the car

  • Plugging a tire may be necessary in certain situations. Example, offroading with a sidewall puncture when it might be extremely difficult to put on your spare, or you might have already used your spare.

Also, this guy is using an old tire for demo purposes only. It is understood that the demo tire is worn beyond usability.

  • Obsidian1985

    Great explanation. Thank yoU!

  • about the tyre... he was using it as an example and probably put the nail in purposly... why would you stab a good tyre??? insted of a worn one, only for an example!!!

  • If you get a flat tire, don't use fix a flat just because your a lazy ass and don't want to put the spare tire on. Fix a flat can make your chrome wheels decay and make the chrome start to peel off. So better put the spare on and go to your local tire place to patch, patch plug, or plug your tire.

  • Plugs are tempory repairs that are used when the tire tread is below 1.5 millimeters. They should last untill you get you tire replaced. 1.5mm tread indicators are raised bars in the tire tread. Small ^arrows^ on the side walls show you where they are.

  • No le hechas pegamento?

  • scarletfever92

Why should you never ever plug a tire? What harm can it cause?

  • Many times when I've plugged a tire, I can feel that I hit the steel cord that is just below the tread. On those tires that I wear down, the plug usually leaks again. It's better to repair it from the inside with a patch. Of course, without tire changing equipment, a plug will get you by for under 5 bucks.

  • When you plug a tire there are 2 things you are doing wrong...#1 You are repairing a tire without seeing the extent of the damage inside the tire THIS IS VERY VERY DANGEROUS.

#2 You are not providing a proper reinforcement to the belt package, this can often times result in bulges/seperations. On passenger tires or tubeless bias tires its all too easy to just throw a plug in it, but man...think about the safety implications of airing up a tire with an injury you cant see/inspect.

  • Dont cut toward your fingers.

  • i don't know how many times i have to tell people never ever plug a tire it is an improper way to fix a tire a tire should always be patched or have a combi repair put in it never a plug

  • Great video. Very good idea to use an old tire for demo.

  • That tire is soo worn out, is it really worth it to plug it?
