NASA and climatologists look at all the natural factors (sun, volcanoes etc.) as well as man's emissions of greenhouse gases. Based on computer models and historic data, they have concluded that the abnormal rise in global temperatures is based on man's emissions.

CO2 is a greenhouse gas. GG causes the earth's atmosphere to warm up. When man dumps billions of tons of CO2 into the atmosphere, temperatures will increase.
