Friends of mine did play Union Station once, a corporate Christmas party, and I have to tell you, the acoustics suck.

What they're saying about ownership is very true. I remember the trashbags that were filled from the parking lots after the shows at the VFW or the Foolkiller. You can't have shows and expect someone to pick up after you or not draw down the authorities if you can't keep a low profile. I can't help but miss those days even if I did outgrow them.
