7 people need to go on an airplane, do some coke (actually, watch the pilots do coke, the 7 people don't deserve the privilege to have that much fun) with the pilots and then crash and be incinerated.
Randy Rhoads died in a fateful plane crash 29 years ago this day, but his memory and legacy will NEVER die....His ground-breaking guitar work brought the neo-classical style to the forefront of metal, changing it forever....All of his solos are so beautifully designed making every note count. Every section of his songs just flow so nicely into the next. I would not be playing guitar today if it weren't for him. He is an inspiration not only as a musician, but a human being....
If I had a time machine I wouldnt be ur average greedy american and ask for millions, Id ask for a time machine and go back to 82 and tell Randy not to get on that plane. Because of him I have accepted the guitar into my life much like others accept jesus but I already did that. So to u Randy ur an inspiration to all. R.I.P my friend.
@betterthananyoneelse Lifeson? What has he done that is special? How many people grew up buying guitars saying "I wanna sound just like Lifeson?" Noy many. Tony Iommi invented a sound that launched a whole new genre of music and millions of kids bought guitars and tried to sound just like he did. Iommi is one of the greatest riff writers in history and he did it all missing two fingertips on his fret hand.
Randy Rhoads has been one of my favorite musicians since I first time heard at age of 14. Everytime I hear this I`ve got tears in my eyes, , it`s the best solo ever. Not even was he one of the best guitarists the world have seen, he was also a music genius....We miss you Randy.....RIP
I'm a drummer and I don't always 'hear ' the guitar but solo1 on Mr. Crowley brings tears to my eyes. It's as good as it gets. It's the sickest guitar solo I've ever heard in my life. Rest in Peace Randy Rhoads. We miss you.
@geitepung I'll tell you what man, I've played for over 20 yrs now, and back when I was about 17 iwould take acid and just play guitar for hours, I could play so fuckin fast it was unreal, the bad part was some times you find yourself with your ear up to the amp and just hitting a string and goin man listen to that! Good times!
@HerveGamerDude wasn't he like, a perverted sexual satanic dude? I just watched the movie Crowley, very strange o_0 Peeing on people, shitting in offices, and making orgies that included a fatty and a midget
At 1:18 the bass players eyes roll up into his head, He is thinking," What the f--- am I doing on stage with this amateur singer!" Sorry people, without Randy there is no solo OZZY. Poor OZ has very little talent.
I fly radio-controlled airplanes and one day, I'll build a model with that pokka-dotted scheme color labelling: "CRAZY TRAIN" dedicating to Randy! Your takes and comments, please!!!
I was in my 1st year of high school when this album came out, I had just gotten my 1st car and had this on a cassette tape which i played in my car until it was completely and utterly worn out. If any certain album can take me on a mental time warp back in time this is one of them, thank you so much for posting this!
Personally, as a musician myself, I like this solo better than the one in Crazy Train. I think this shows off his knowledge of music better. Gosh, I miss him so much and I'm only 17. RIP Randy! We love you so much.
@Rufus4223 Not gonna call myself a musician, but the solo is probably better in this one. However Crazy train has so many small licks and amazingly cool elements which is why I personally think it kicks ass guitarwise :)
@neXib That was the greatest part of Randy's magic. The songs were so new and fresh every time. If you listen to any of the songs on Blizzard of Ozz or Diary of A Madman and compare them to live versions, they almost sound like different songs. Randy is and will always be the greatest guitarist in history in my mind.
@fretburner18 True, often I feel guitarists play something different live cause they're being lazy, but he seemed to play something different and add stuff only onto other levels of awesome. Legend.
@JakeRipperguitar19 This is definitely true. I made my comment several months ago and I have had time to hear more of his work and it's just mind boggling. Not only of the greatest guitarists but one of the greatest musicians and composers ever.
@Rufus4223: Totally agree. There is a lot more to this guitar solo - musically, not just technically. The classical upbringing is pretty clear... and beautiful.
